The Minnesota Vikings are reported to be getting ready to sign veteran journeyman QB Patrick Ramsey and there is a good chance he could play this week on Monday when the Minnesota Vikings take on the Chicago Bears. Exactly why? Will Ramsey be part of the Vikings offense going forward? No. Is Minnesota on the cusp of grabbing a playoff berth? Nope. The Vikings don’t even have a definite head coach heading into 2011.
Why sign a quarterback who has floated around the league, for a spot start? Explain this to me when the Vikings are going to be quarterback-less when the CBA finally gets passed in the offseason and you have Joe Webb? Seriously, why would you not trot out a rookie quarterback who has been with the organization from the start of the season, and see what he has as far as talent moving forward? Why was he drafted if the organization didn’t think he had talent?
The Minnesota Vikings organization is as much of a trainwreck this season as are the Washington Redskins. Patrick Ramsey to start against the Chicago Bears? Minnesota Vikings, thanks for ruining my fantasy football playoffs and killing Adrian Peterson. Patrick Ramsey who hasn’t played since 2007? And sucked when he played? Seriously?
