In the wake of a playoff appearance this season and a 10-6 record, the Minnesota Vikings have exercised their option on head coach Leslie Frazier‘s contract, locking him in through the 2014 season. Although Frazier was the head coach, a tip of the hat has to go to Vikings RB Adrian Peterson, who put up remarkable numbers this season, helping to propel them to the playoffs.
Now that Frazier has an extra year on his contract, he has some serious questions facing his team.
What to do with disgruntled WR Percy Harvin? I don’t believe there is any way that Harvin remains a member of the Vikings next season but how much can the Vikings get in return for the diva receiver? Can the club work out a new deal with DE Jared Allen in order to lower his salary cap number? Allen is coming off surgery and will turn 31 during the offseason while counting $17 million against the Minnesota cap. Can the Vikings improve on their 24th ranked pass defense next season?
