Miss America Laura Kaeppeler showed off her considerable talents by signing the national anthem prior to Milwakee Bucks' home game on Monday Night. The former Miss Wisconsin then retreated to her guest suite at the Bradley Center before receiving an unexpected knock at the door. Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers greeted her and shared a few moments during the intermission. In January, Kaeppeler gave a shout out to Rodgers and the Packers when she was introduced at the Miss America pageant. She would later attend Super Bowl XLVI between the New England Patriots and New York Giants, but repeatedly denied when questioned by the Associated Press if she had ever met her favorite quarterback. After Monday's meeting, Kaeppeler will now be able to tell a different answer.

Aaron Rodgers surprises Miss America at Bucks game

Miss America finally got her chance to meet one of the NFL's most talented quarterbacks. When former Miss Wisconsin Laura Kaeppeler was introduced during the nationally-televised Miss America pageant in January, she gave a shout out to the Green Bay Packers and quarterback Aaron Rodgers. After she won the crown and attended the Super Bowl in Indianapolis, fans and reporters...

Matt Flynn: magic or myth?

Lighting in a bottle, that’s what NFL teams do during free agency. What a player does in one system doesn’t instantly make them great in another. The hottest quarterback prospect this year outside of Peyton Manning is Matt Flynn from the Green Bay Packers, and teams are betting that he’s more magic than myth. Matt Flynn is this year’s version of Kevin Kolb, a quarterback...

Aaron Rodgers Says Matt Flynn Is Top 15 NFL QB; Compliment Or Insult?

Matt Flynn may only have two career starts under his belt, but the Green Bay Packers‘ 26-year-old backup quarterback will unquestionably collect widespread interest on the open market. Photo Via NFLSoup.com The 6-2, 225-pound quarterback out of LSU recently received a ringing endorsement from his fellow teammate, Aaron Rodgers, who ironically is the same size as Flynn—6’2...

Mike Ornstein reportedly pledged money for a “knockout blow” to Aaron Rodgers last season

Based on this report from The Times-Picayune, Mike Ornstein was a huge player in the Bountygate scandal. Ornstein never officially worked for the team, but the two time felon was a mainstay around the Saints. And depending on who you asked in the organization, he was either an asset or a detriment.Ornstein was cited as a figure that pledged money to the Saints’ bounty pool in the...

Green Bay Packers draft: mocking the first couple picks

The Green Bay Packers led the NFL in passing yards allowed last season. Therefore, they’re going to focus on DBs and and pass-rushers first and foremost in the 2012 NFL draft right? Not so fast my friend. What about a tight end if Jermichael Finley leaves? What about the running back situation? Then we must consider the fact that Ted Thompson is as much a “value GM” as there...

Hawk   AJ Hawk showing us his donation for a GREAT cause      While the rest of the NFL was thinking about “bounty list gate”, AJ Hawk was thinking about the kids.  Last Friday while everyone else was worrying about who blew the whistle, pointing fingers, and the dirty dark secrets of what really goes on in the NFL, AJ Hawk went and...

NFL rewind: Brett Favre 3 games, 3 INTs, 3 retirements

Brett Favre.  Perhaps his greatest strength was his greatest weakness.  In a survival of the fittest like tactic from the days of the Wild West, for 20 years Favre brought his gunslinger mentality to various cities throughout the NFL.  Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn’t, but the fact of the matter remains that when Favre

Pro Day Tour: Back Shines In Front of Dorsey

If the Packers decide to part ways with free agent Ryan Grant, they'd likely add a running back in the draft. The Packers saw a good one on Friday. Plus, the scoop on four other pro days, including another look at a dual-threat quarterback and an under-the-radar center who grew up in Wisconsin.

NFL Draft Medical Report: Jared Crick, DT, Nebraska

Past drafts are littered with players like former Green Bay Packer defensive tackle Justin Harrell. A slightly undersized and injury prone defensive lineman, the Packers drafted him in the first round in the 2007 draft. Harrell unquestionably had a good deal of talent, but he only played in two games his senior year, raising some serious red flags. In his four years in the NFL Harrell...
