State of the Texans:
Former Browns wide receiver Mohamed Massaquoi visited the Texans. He has also visited the Jaguars recently
— Aaron Wilson (@RavensInsider) April 5, 2013
The Houston Texans have hosted free agent wide receiver Mohamed Massaquoi who has been with the Cleveland Browns since 2009. Massaquoi was drafted out of Georgia in the 2009 NFL Draft in the 2nd round (50th overall) and has been a solid contributor to a deficient offense in Cleveland.
In 2012, he was slowed by knee and hamstring issues that landed him on the injured reserve after nine games. Massaquoi was an important piece of the Browns offense being targeted over 74 times in his first three seasons with the Browns, but was soon passed over for a youth movement in Cleveland.
Only 26 years old, Massaquoi is 6-2 and 207 lbs. and seems to fit what the Texans look for in wide receivers. It is hard to think that Massaquoi would be the number two wide receiver the team is going to plug into the starting lineup, but it would be a depth signing that would get the opportunity to compete for game snaps.
As @ravensinsider tweeted former Browns WR Mohammed Massaquoi visited the Texans. Expect a decision between Hou and Jax soon.

And that’s all she wrote, folks. The 2009 second round trio of David Veikune, Brian Robiskie and Mohamed Massaquoi are now all former members of the Cleveland Browns as MoMass reportedly came to agreement with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Massaquoi will be remembered as a guy who couldn’t stay on the field. You can’t blame him for the time he was crumpled by Pittsburgh Steeler...
Ryan O’Halloran reports that the Jaguars have signed WR Mohamed Massaquoi.
Aaron Wilson reports that Massaquoi receives a two-year deal.
Massaquoi, 26, recently visited with the Texans as well, but ultimately chose to sign on with Jacksonville after finding minimal interest on the open market.
Last year, he tallied 17 receptions for 254 yards and no touchdowns in nine games for...
The Cleveland Browns struck quickly in free agency with Desmond Bryant and Paul Kruger before executing some more conservative signings, presumably for depth. Of course as they continue to cut players like Usama Young and Chris Gocong loose, many fans wonder if the Browns were too conservative in their free agency signings with holes all over the field still.
If you believe respected...
The last time Houston Texans’ defensive end J.J. Watt went through the off-season process he did not make it out unscathed.
As a result, believe it or not he was not 100-percent for the 2012-13 run.

Going into this years off season the Houston Texans knew that there would be a chance they’d lose some players that had been with the team for a long time. Both S Glover Quin and OLB Connor Barwin were both starters on defense and it was thought the Texans would keep at least one of them. As it turned out they didn’t keep either and also lost another player that started on the...
Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub told the Houston Chronicle that he’s very excited about the new players the Texans have acquired this offseason and he really believes they’re a Super Bowl contender.
“I’m really excited about playing with them,” said Schaub, who is confident the Texans will be in the hunt for the Super Bowl. “We still have a ton of talent. We play...
The Jacksonville Jaguars know any success they have as an offense will be defined by how well they pass the ball. Blaine Gabbert will never fully be successful if he has nothing to throw to.
The Jaguars who are trying to add depth to the duo of Cecil Short and Justin Blackmon, agreed to terms on a two-year deal with former Browns wide receiver Mohamed Massaquoi according to Jaguars...
Houston Texans 7- Round Mock DraftBy Raymon Marceau The Texans are looking good after free agency. The loss of Quin IMO was the one that hurt the most but with the addition of Ed Reed it shouldn’t be that big of a loss. The addition of Lechlar and Greg Jones are great to fill team needs. 1st Round 27th pick: Justin Hunter, WR, Tennessee When deciding a WR for this pick I had...
The 2013 free agent market has hit a standstill and veteran players are looking for work, and the majority of the deals on the table are for one year. With plenty of free agents still available, we looked at who could come in on short contracts and provide some help for the coming season.
There is still work to do but the Texans can still find some quality help to add to the...
