Tony Moll didn’t stand out in his first start with the Ravens, and that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Filling in for the injured Jared Gaither (strained back/back spasms) and Oniel Cousins (headache), Moll produced a workmanlike effort at right tackle in the team’s 23-3 victory over the Washington Redskins Saturday night. “It was definitely exciting that I was able to get in there and get some reps, especially since I sat out last week,” Moll said, referring to a concussion that had sidelined him for 10 days of training camp and the Ravens’ 17-12 win against the Carolina Panthers in the preseason opener on Aug. 12. “It definitely was a good feeling going with the ones, and hopefully, I was able to prove myself and show some good things that will make a little bit of a headway with the coaching staff.” Individually, the 6-foot-5, 315-pound Moll did not surrender a sack to Washington defensive end Adam Carriker or outside linebacker Andre Carter.
