Beat down in Sea-Town
Holy cow! That was one hell of a game last Sunday.
The Seahawks took the first takeaway of the game and just ran with it, never looking back en-route to 7 more takeaways on the day, and a record 58 points scored.
There have been multiple joke pictures and tweets floating around cyberspace ever since the end of the ballgame, so I thought I would include a couple of them here in this weeks piece.
Nothing adds to the embarrassment of a loss like that than the whole world making fun of your team on Facebook and Twitter!
With that, I give you my top 10!
10: Lynch mob
Marshawn Lynch got back over the 100 yard mark for the first time in a few weeks.
But that just wasn’t enough for him, he felt the need to do it on only 11 carries!

Oh yeah, and he added a mere 3 touchdowns on the day as well.
9: Getting it done in every area
This week it wasn’t just about the offense finally.
Well it was, but the defense got it done, special teams got it done, and the running game got it done.
With 58 points being put up on the board you would think that Russell Wilson would’ve had more than 1 TD pass right?
8: Was Pete out of line?
I would say so if he had kept the starters in for the entire game. But since the Cardinals couldn’t even stop our second string guys, then the answer is no.
Two 100 yard rushers for the Hawks, that isn’t Pete Carroll’s fault, that is the Cardinals fault.
7: Funniest tweet of them all
BREAKING: The Cardinals flight home has been delayed. Someone painted an endzone on the team plane and they can’t figure out how to get in.

6: Grey Wolf unleashed in Canada
It was announced that the Seahawks will be wearing their alternate wolf grey uniforms when they travel to Toronto to face the Buffalo Bills this Sunday.
5: Jon Kitna raised the flag
One of my favorite Seahawks of all time was on hand to raise the 12th man flag prior to the game on Sunday.
The funniest pic of the last week (Photo: facebook.com)
I would like to think that it was his presence that brought out the beast the was the Seahawks against the Cardinals.
A northwest original, Kitna is now a math teacher in Tacoma. He spent a portion of his career with the Hawks, and played college ball in Washington as well.
4: 4th best
The margin of the shut-out was the 4th biggest since the 1940 season.
That’s 72 years of football, and our little team up here in Seattle is now on the most elite shutout list!
3: Defense was huge against the run
43 rushing yards is all the Cardinals could muster against the rejuvenated Hawks D.
It was nice to see the D stand up for a change, after a few poor performances on their part.
This game was all about the D. Any time you can shut out an opponent in this league you are doing something right.
2: Larry who?
Speaking of defense doing a good job, the most dangerous wide receiver in the game, Larry Fitzgerald was held to only one catch, for a whopping 2 yards.
Fitzgerald was targeted 11 times on the day, and had one dropped pass that ended up in the hands of Bobby Wagner.
I guess the suspension of Brandon Browner, and the injury to Marcus Trufant didn’t come back to bite us after all.
1: Play of the week
In a game in which 58 points were scored, how do you pick just one TD or play that defined it?
You can’t really, which is why this weeks video is a highlight reel of the Seahawks defense from the game.
You can view the video at seahawks.com here.
I hope you all enjoyed this romp as much as I did, and here’s to another away win in the great white north this Sunday!
