Found April 19, 2012 on Football Nation:
For the first time since 2007, the Cincinnati Bengals will square off against the Baltimore Ravens in a “Primetime” Monday Night Football game on September 10 at 7pm. With all the excitement from the release of the NFL schedules, fans get to see two of the premier teams in the league such as the Bengals and Ravens make that Monday Night debut at M&T Bank Stadium. For the past two seasons, the Baltimore Ravens has only lost one game at home during their two-year stretch of making it to the playoffs in back-to-back seasons. Just last week Joe Flacco informed the entire football nation that he considers himself one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. Last season, Joe Flacco seemed a bit inconsistent at times during the season which lead to the “rumbling” Ray Rice to carry the team into the playoffs when Flacco did not display elite leadership ability. Playing in the AFC North should change a player’s mentality when stepping onto the field because of the amount of smash-mouth f...

2012 NFL Draft: Will the Ravens find the next Ray Lewis?

The Baltimore Ravens know a thing or two about the position of linebacker. Ray Lewis is one of the greatest to ever play the game, but there comes a time when a team must start to search for a younger player that can eventually fill the roll. Coming into the 2011 season North Carolina linebacker, Zach Brown, was

Flacco shows up for voluntary workouts, Rice doesn’t

The Baltimore Ravens first day of voluntary workouts kicked off at the team’s facility in Owings Mills on Monday morning. And Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco was present, participating in a throwing session, according to Aaron Wilson of The Carroll County Times. Flacco, 27, remains in contract negotiations with the Ravens, but according to Wilson, the [...]

Terrell Owens Lines Up his Baby Mamas for Dr. Phil

Anything for a buck huh T.O.? In his latest publicity stunt, Terrell Owens has agreed to appear on Dr. Phil with 3 or 4 of his baby mamas. Even though rumor has it that the producers of the show were actually the ones who reached out, I’m sure T.O. wasn’t too stand off-ish in charging a quick appearance fee. The show, which will air on May 1, will feature Owens talking about the child...

Making sense of Ravens' signing of Curtis Painter...

In what may seem like a puzzling move, the Ravens just signed Curtis Painter to a 1-year contract as a backup QB on a roster where Tyrod Taylor is already and clearly the QB#2 behind Joe Flacco.  Or is he...?Curtis Painter...6-4, 230, 4th year out of Purdue, drafted in 2009 by the Colts in the 6th round...signed for approx. $600,000 with a $90,000 guarantee..over his career with...

Sortin’ Through The Pieces: Defense

The Bengals made a number of free agent additions to the defense over the past month, but gauging how much better they have made themselves in the process is difficult. They added four guys who were drafted in the first round but dide not make the impact that was expected of them. If two of [...]

QB Curtis Painter joins the Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens have added QB Curtis Painter to the Ravens roster. Starting quarterback Joe Flacco is heading into the final season of his rookie contract and backup QB Tyrod Taylor will be starting his second season with the Ravens in 2012. Painter got the starting nod for the Indianapolis Colts after just a few weeks into the 2011 season but was eventually replaced by Dan...

Sortin’ Through The Pieces: Picks

The NFL Draft is less than a week away, and the Bengals find themselves in a better position than normal. No top 10 picks. Few gaping holes in the roster. There is a lot of flexibility in this draft, which means multiple strategies could be in play, whether in terms of picks or trades. The [...]

Dalton looking forward to second season

Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton was back in the locker room at Paul Brown Stadium for the start of the team's offseason conditioning program looking more relaxed. After a rookie year in which he became the first rookie quarterback not selected in the first round to start all 16 games and lead his team to the playoffs, Dalton is eager to see what the offense can do with a true...

Bengals one of a handful of teams with major interest in Courtney Upshaw

As draft weekend approaches, more and more rumors and smokescreens fly around. But when a rumor that has a pattern rears its head, we are inclined to write about it. According to Aaron Wilson of The National Football Post, the Bengals are one of seven teams that are enamored with Alabama outside linebacker/defensive end, Courtney Upshaw. @RavensInsiderAaron WilsonPer a source, among... BenJarvus Green-Ellis: new number and a new role?

Perhaps the most notable free agent signing that the Bengals made this year was in former New England Patriots running back, BenJarvus Green-Ellis. He has been a productive NFL back since going undrafted four years ago, but unfortunately has been stuck with the label of not being a "breakaway back" or being capable of generating big plays. One thing that can't be...
