Found May 08, 2013 on Players View:

As a quarterback, Denver Broncos executive John Elway reached the promised land with the help of running back Terrell Davis in the 90′s.

Together the pair generated back-to-back Super Bowl wins and sent Elway riding off into the sunset on top.

Elway and his director of player personnel Matt Russell are hoping that a hunch will yield Denver’s current field general Peyton Manning a similar fate.

John Elway: ‘We found a gem in Montee Ball’

Denver Broncos vice president John Elway said Tuesday that running back Montee Ball reminds him of Terrell Davis. “We’re excited. When we were watching Montee, the one thing that stood out about his running style is that it’s a lot like Terrell Davis, and so that got us very excited, and we hope that Montee

Peyton Manning punks teammates who are plotting revenge.

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning should be on high alert during training camp. Manning has quickly become the ringmaster of a variety of pranks that have been taking place within the team. Case in point, Manning orchestrated a gag that saw right tackle Orlando Franklin take a televised pie to the face from Eric Decker while attending his first baseball game. Please click...

Broncos likely won’t keep McGahee and Moreno

Mike Klis of the Denver Post doesn’t believe the Broncos will keep both Willis McGahee and Knowshon Moreno now that they drafted Montee Ball. It’s highly unlikely that barring injury the Broncos will keep both Willis McGahee and Knowshon Moreno on their 2013 season-opening roster. The Broncos just drafted workhorse running back Montee Ball in the second round one year after they...

John Elway Compares RB Montee Ball To Terrell Davis

John Elway has done a pretty good job as the executive vice president for the Denver Broncos.  Most of his personnel decisions have been right on. Elway drafted former Wisconsin running back Montee Ball in the 2nd round of the NFL Draft and bypassed the one rusher everyone supposedly coveted, Eddie Lacy. Why did Elway make the choice to go with Ball?  When Elway was studying film...

Elvis has left the building, but Robert Ayers is ready to fill the vacancy

Th whole Denver Broncos - Elvis Dumervil saga was unfortunate, but what's done is done, and now it's time to look forward to the future and look to get along without him, according to defensive end Robert Ayers. Ayer, a 2009 first round pick, has had an up and down career so far, but he insists he's ready to fill the big shoes of Dumervil in 2013.  “He’s a guy...

Eric Decker and Peyton Manning Prank Their Offensive Lineman

Peyton Manning and wide receiver Eric Decker had a little fun at the expense of Broncos’ offensive lineman Orlando Franklin.  During the broadcast of the Rockies game yesterday Orlando was the recipient of a pie to the face courtesy of Decker, and of course Peyton called the play.  The video is great. #bbpBox_331977748576866304 a { text-decoration:none; color:#2F9603; }#bbpBox_33197774857686...

“Highly Unlikely” Denver Keeps Both Willis McGahee & Knowshon Moreno

Mike Klis of the Denver Post writes that barring an injury, it’s “highly unlikely” that both Willis McGahee and Knowshon Moreno will make the Broncos 53-man roster. Denver has drafted RBs Montee Ball and Ronnie Hillman in back-to-back seasons, using a second and third-round pick on them respectively. Klis adds that the Broncos ideal scenario would be for Ball and Hillman...

Broncos QB Manning the mastermind of pranks, too

As evidenced by the proliferating number of pranks he's pulling, Peyton Manning has gotten pretty comfortable in Denver as he enters his second season with the Broncos. His teammates warn that Manning might not want to get too cozy, though, because they're plotting their revenge. So far, none of them have gotten back at the productive prankster. Manning's latest victim...

NFL News: Tom Heckert joins Denver Broncos as Director of Pro Personnel

We’ve all just had a lesson in how front offices turn over in an off-season. It feels like a relatively new lesson here in Cleveland. The Browns have decided not to renew some contracts of scouts that were in Berea under former General Manager Tom Heckert. The timing of waiting until after the draft is apparently pretty commonplace. In Denver the Broncos let Keith Kidd depart after...

Fantasy Football: May ADP Report

Comparing 2013 fantasy football preseason rankings to the current average draft position (ADP) data is not only interesting, but it can also be a very helpful tool. It allows me to compare the common perception of players’ values versus my calculations, which I can then use to maximize value during drafts. For example, I like Alex Smith +10 more than his ADP, which means I can...
