While on the show Green Light with Chris Long, Chicago Bears defensive end Montez Sweat made some bold claims about the upcoming football season. When Long asked Sweat what the Bears' goals were for the 2024 season and what mindset they wanted to have going into it, Sweat responded accordingly.

Montez Sweat On The Bears Winning The NFC North

Chris Long asked Montez Sweat, "What's the ceiling for you guys"? The 27-year-old replied:

Chris commented on the NFC North being a tough division. He mentioned Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers changing the landscape of the division last year. Sweat smiled in response and added this:

Sweat had a very appropriate response for a guy who just came to the Chicago Bears in the middle of last season. The Bears haven't beaten the Packers since the failed 2018 season and this needs to change.

If the Bears hope to win the NFC North, they need to get past Green Bay first. Of course, the Detroit Lions are the pinnacle of the division currently, and beating them is another task altogether. But for long-time fans, the idea of losing to the Packers again is sickening.

When Montez Sweat brings the power to the Chicago Bears defense en route to a victory over the rivaled Packers, this team will finally be able to take a breath and move on to the next step in greatness: winning the division and eventually a Super Bowl.
