More Defensive Line Changes

Defensive linemen who are looking to get the most out of their medical insurance should think about joining the Buccaneers. There’s a good 75% chance you’ll end up on injured reserve. Tim Crowder, E.J. Wilson, George Johnson, Gerald McCoy and now John McCargo are all sitting out the rest of the season in hot tubs getting rubdowns, a far better fate than the healthy players enduring this meltdown on the field. To help fill the most recent gap left by McCargo, the Bucs promoted Frank Okam from the practice squad (he was on the practice squad?) yesterday. They also signed a defensive end named Nick Reed, a 2009 seventh-round pick by Seattle out of Oregon. Reed most recently played for the Bears and I would have no idea who he was if he hadn’t actually played against the Bucs in London this year.
