My colleague Mike Chappell is keeping busy today on the phones. That's the way it is this time of year. He reported online that the Colts have waived veteran safety Matt Giordano, agreed to terms with free-agent safety Aaron Francisco and claimed rookie LB Cody Glenn off waivers from Washington.
Two men enter, one man leaves? Yeah, you guessed it. We can expect another roster move in a day, probably when players pass their physicals. If we're just going by position, Glenn's arrival could mean a linebacker is out. I'm sure the three reserves don't want to see their cell phones ring and have it come up with the Colts' caller ID. But then again, maybe the Colts carry seven linebackers at the start.
