Philly Sports Muse:
Philadelphia Eagles running back Dion Lewis and his brother Lamar were arrested in Albany, New York last weekend for pulling a fire alarm at a Hampton Inn. As details emerge, there are conflicting stories from the Lewis’ and management of the hotel.
Video of the incident will be a key component of the case, and the Lewis camp believes it will vindicate both brothers.
Unfortunately, hotel manager Todd Reichelt believes it will support the claims of his security guard present the night of the incident.
Lamar and Dion Lewis left the Hampton Inn without their hotel keys for a night of drinking on the town last Saturday. When they returned at 4:30 am, they found the hotel lobby locked. The brothers banged on the door loudly to get the attention of a security guard and finally pulled the property’s fire alarm.
The hotel says that the guard didn’t not open the door because the Lewis brothers were behaving belligerently and that he saw Lamar Lewis with a pocket knife.
The Lewis’ were charg...

Can Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy supersede his outstanding performance in 2011? You bet your buttocks he can!
Photo: Matt Slocum, AP
There are plenty of reasons as to why McCoy will improve upon his breakout season last year where he ran for 1,309 yards, rushed for 17 TDs, averaged 4.8 yards per carry and tacked on 315 yards receiving and three more scores.
Here are five...
Today is Friday the 13th, the day made famous by horror movie icon Jason Voorhees of the Friday the 13th movie franchise. Since the Philadelphia Eagles should be in for a “killer” season, I thought it would be fun to take a look at how the two compare to one another.
Yes, I will shamelessly admit I’ve seen every single Friday the 13th movie, including “Freddie vs. Jason”...

Earlier this week, Eagles backup running back Dion Lewis was arrested for pulling a fire alarm at a Hampton Inn in his hometown of Albany, New York. He clearly made a foolish error by pulling the alarm, but I give him credit for quickly apologizing for his foolish decision...
The Eagles and the NFL as we know it have been around for approximately 80 years, and you'd think by now just about everything that could happen on a footy field has already occurred. But look at all the things that happened for the very first time in 2011...Two guys on the same team--- LeSean McCoy and Mike Vick--- averaged over 8 yards a carry (minimum 10 carries each) in the...
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick made a promise to his fans that he’ll do what he can to protect himself this season.
“I want to make a promise to all my fans that I’m going to make a conscious effort, a cognitive effort, to make sure that I protect myself,” Vick said on The Mike Missanelli Show on 97.5 The Fan in Philadelphia, via ProFootballTalk...
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback and reformed pitchman Michael Vick expressed his enthusiasm regarding the team’s upcoming season during an appearance at Modell’s in Philadelphia on Wednesday.
Vick, who is launching a clothing line called V7, says the team is ready to get to work and make a Super Bowl run. In the process of detailing his excitement, Vick dropped an interesting...
Michael Vick is a fashionista. He introduced his new V7 clothing line at a northeast Philadelphia Modell's Sporting goods store. "I am very thankful I have the fan appreciation and support that I have," Vick said in a Philadelphia Inquirer story. Both Vick and his fashion line were well received, in contrast to his arrival in 2009.
"You only get one shot at...

2011 Recap: Picking Mike Vick first overall was the rage last season thanks to a well known ESPN analyst with a big bald spot that shall remain nameless. What a big mistake. Vick didn’t get a full offseason as the starter and it showed with his erratic play on the field. Even though his had a “down” year he still finished...
2012 NFL Season Preview for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Let me preface the following post by saying that I think the Eagles will win the NFC East, and also win a playoff game. I’m not going any further than that. I’m not predicting a Super Bowl like a lot of other homers are doing around here, but I think the Eagles will be leaps and bounds better than last season, which I guess isn’t really saying much.
That being said, there...
