More Than Just a Staph Infection? 49ers Sopoaga’s Left Arm In A Slinge

Nose tackle Isaac Sopoaga, who missed Sunday’s game due to a staph infection, left the 49ers’  facility Monday morning with his left arm in a sling.  Now I’m no Doctor but a staff infection isn’t something that usually requires a sling.  If Sopoaga is out for an extended period it would be a big hit to a 49er front 7 that has played great through 5 games this season.The 49ers have not commented on Sopoaga’s status nor any precautions the organization have taken as a result of Sopoaga’s condition.Sopoaga has played great thus far this season moving over to NT after the 49ers let free agent Abrayo Franklin walk.  Not only has Sopoaga played well at NT but Defensive End Ray McDonald who was resigned to a $20M deal to start at DE esentially replacing Franklin in the lineup has played terrific to open the season making the decision to shift around the DL to better suit Coordinator Vic Fangio look brilliant. … [visit site to read more]More Than Ju...
