From Super Bowl Champ, to working for the people. That’s the journey for one Torrey Smith of the Baltimore Ravens. After helping the Ravens win their second title in February, Smith took on an internship working in Washington, DC for congressman (D) Elijah Cummings, According to Smith, he wasn’t just hanging out and rubbing elbows with the suits in our nation’s capitol Via BaltimoreRavens.com: “I was handling files, reading letters, relaying them, typing up what sponsors say, printing stuff,” Smith said. “I was the office guy.” The office guy is never a fun job, right? “It was fun though,” Smith said with a laugh. “I enjoyed it.” Oh. But it makes sense once you realize that Smith was a criminal justice major while he attended Maryland. He seems like a very bright individual, and is using his spare time in the offseason to expand his horizons off the football field. “It’s about seeing what’s out there,” Smith said. “As an athlete I feel like I always said, ‘Man, I can’t wait till I can just play football and I don’t have to worry about school.’ Now that all we do is work out and you have the rest of the [...]
