Colin Kaepernick in 2012 only had one viable wideout in Michael Crabtree; however, with the addition of Anquan Boldin, he now has a pair. Gone is the soft play of Randy Moss, soft routes and weak over the middle. Boldin is the exact opposite, a tough as nails receiver who just gets it done. He isn’t the highest jumper, the fastest runner, but he is one of the toughest pass catchers in the NFL.

Phil Dawson might someday leave his heart in San Francisco, but for now it has been left in Cleveland.

According to Aaron WIlson of the Baltimore Sun, Anquan Boldin passed his physical with the San Francisco 49ers, which means he officially no longer a Raven and Baltimore has received a 6th round pick in exchange for him.
The trade was delayed because Boldin was over in Senegal for a relief trip.
The 49ers made out like bandits to only have to give up a 6th round pick for Boldin....
According to Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area, the San Francisco 49ers have agreed to terms with safety Darcel McBath.

Kicking was an issue for the San Francisco 49ers last season; surprising considering that they had one of the best in the game, David Akers, on the roster. Every player--kickers including--eventually have a fall from grace. Maybe last season was it for Akers.
