If things haven’t been tough enough over the past several months for New York Jets incumbent starting quarterback Mark Sanchez ever since the team traded for Tim Tebow, the awkwardness reached new heights during a Q&A session at Jets training camp on Thursday.
The video is a bit short and starts up just as the exercise in awkwardness ensues, but an unidentified reporter erroneously addresses Sanchez as “Tim.” To which, Sanchez, taking it all in stride, simply replies, “I’m Mark.” Well played by Sanchez. That kind of quick thinking on his feet should serve him well as the Jets starter. Well, as long as he is the starter for the Jets, that is. Who knows how this quarterback situation will play out this season.

Mark Sanchez can't get a break. I would have wanted to see a thought cloud over head telling us what he was REALLY thinking after that reporter got his name wrong!
-
This isn't unusual at all. Such gaffes are common. For example, many reporters have mistaken Tebow for someone who can play the game.
-
If he could I guess he wouldn't of been traded for a 5th round pick to back up Sanchez LOL.

Get em Sanchez, you should of told her what you really thought...
