PLAYERS: Tim Tebow
TEAMS: New York Jets

Via Sportress of Blogitude:

Anyone who has ever had any interactions with children is well aware of the fact that if a baby does not want to be held by a particular person, it most certainly will let you know just how unhappy it is about being put in an uncomfortable position. Still, it is shocking to see that a baby would be so unhappy by the experience of being held by Tim Tebow. I mean, the guy is extremely personable and it is reasonable to suspect that there isn’t a non-nurturing bone in his body.

I don’t know, maybe this baby Jets fan saw Tebow’s quasi-blasphemous photo in GQ and cannot help but express displeasure at such a shocking scene. Or, alternatively, perhaps this Baby Jets Fan heard through the grapevine the kind of procedures Tebow participated in during his previous missionary work. That bit of knowledge likely would frighten any child.

  • Quazi blasphemous??? Tim dont even know how to do that. You're Quazi blasphemous.....whoever wrote that, and you suck.
  • Baby's just upset because Tim's not with the Bronco's any longer.
  • Baby? I thought that was Sanchez and Tebow in an interview.
  • as opposed to all the other books?
  • and why is this post on here?
  • Okay folks, I'm new to this game so here goes.Lay off the religion already, it doesn't matter. It the spirituality that matters,it transcends any and all religons.Tim has it,is one of the good guys, and a breathe of fresh air on the sports scene.
How about that li'l guy's mom trophy hunting at the babies expense.I see it all the time at the malls on the holidays - petrified, screaming babies sitting on santa or the easter bunnie's lap and mom and dad standing there laughing!
I must admit spinion4 that could also simply be the reason. These youngsters are pretty savvy these days
  • Baby? I thought that was Sanchez and Tebow in an interview.
  • Are you serious? Tebows the anti-christ and the kid knows it.
  • Brad; Interesting how intolerant some are. Instead of trying to interact with helpful responses there seems to be hate expressed instead of understanding and dialog.
  • Why does everyone jump to "hate" when someone disagrees with someone now? While Brad may be off topic here, he didn't express any hate, just wrong teachings, and I have to agree with him there. Love you Tebow!
  • It just could be that a few years from now, that baby will carry that picture around and show it to everyone he knows!
Tim Tebow is a publicity magnet no matter your perspective on this beliefs and practices. I think he's sooper cool and a great role model for spiritual fitness.
  • It's funny! Poor kid, but the baby won't remember...
  • STOP PICKING ON HIM BNECAUSE HE IS A CHRISTIAN I NEVER SEE ANYTHING ABOUT ATHEIST OR MUSLIMS IN THE SPORTS WORLD LEAVE RELIGION OUT OF IT WHO CARES
  • As a reporter, you should be reporting the news, not your opinion!
  • you can tell the idiot that wrote this article is a Christian hater! If this low life had written this article regarding a mus or aethist, then there would be hell to pay.

Tebow is a good role mode.
  • "I mean, the guy is extremely personable and it is reasonable to suspect that there isn’t a non-nurturing bone in his body." Doesn't exactly sound like hate. Did you even read the article? It's meant to be funny, nothing else.
  • Maybe the child's name is Damien.
  • This kid is the AntiChrist
  • Babies cry for all kinds of reasons. Just another example of the media needing to make something out of nothing. What happened to the old days where we talked about on field performance and not whether a baby is crying.

I am also getting so tired about hearing about Tebow's sex life and his religion. Please stop.
  • OMG, do you really think it is Tim, personally, that is causing this baby to cry???? Do you really think the kid never cries when anyone else holds him? Do you really think that sometimes, even when Mommy or Daddy are holding him he doesn't cry??? YOU HATERS ARE REALLY REACHING HERE!!
  • Data perhaps if Mr Tebow would leave them out and not support hate groups that could happen. But he doesn't he wears his version of religion on his shoulder and he has made promotional videos for hate groups like the Focus on the Family. (Don't let the innocuous name fool you, they are a recognized Hate Group. by the Southern Poverty Law Center.
He is not worthy of the respect of any decent person.
And the only reason he gets any attention is due to his overt proselytizing. His 'fans' support him only for that reason, not due to his football ability which does not seem to be all it was cracked up to be. Same reason the far right wing supports Ted Nugent, it is not for his questionable music ability, it is dimly for his politics.
  • post ur real name uscum bag u wont beacaus u are afraid of retaliation ur a typical KLANNER
  • Hey, if the baby doesn't want to be held by Tim Tebow, I will glady take it's place!
  • Maybe Tebow is the Anti Christ and the baby sensed it?
  • Apparently the baby wants someone else circumcising him.
  • It makes me sick to see the NFL is trying to start to allow advertising on the uniform. That is the last thing we need, corporations using players like billboards. We need to put an end to this garbage before it starts.
  • TIM TEBOW is GREAT YOUNG MAN AND A CREDIT TO THE GAME. WE NEED MORE RELIGION OT ONLY IN CHURCHES BUT EVERYPLACE ON EARTH. HE'S A COMPLETE ROLE MODEL FOR OUR KIDS TODAY. GOD bless u TIMand i wish u success if all these sportwriters have to do is tear a ddecent young man down then this country is in sad shape-get a life u idiot sporscasters. people likeSKIP WORTHLESS NEVER AGOOD WORD FOR ANYONE YES TIM i wish u health-success and a great NFL career may GOD protect all our NFL PLAYERS THIS COMING FROM A DIE HARD EAGLESSSSSSSSSSSSS FAN bill tomey coshocton ohio 43812 TIM I HOPE U GO 15-1 UR ONLY LOSS TO MY EAGLES BLESS ALL AND GOD pprotect our players and keep them from serious injuries. iknow injuries are part of the game have a great NFL season fans----- GO BIG GREEN BIRDS.
  • Who exactly is tearing down Tim Tebow? Sportscasters that comment on his football ability are doing there job. No one is bashing him as a person and this article is certainly not disparaging in any way other than mentioning the controversial photo in GQ. If you are so religious it would seem that would be a bigger issue for you than negative expert analysis of a marginal quarterback.
  • The kid was crying because he was afraid Tebow was going to try to pass him ... with a 48 percent pass completion percentage, he knew the odds were against him getting caught.
  • Are you kidding me? The baby was probably crying because he does not know him. He would probably cry if anyone else here was holding him too.
  • Tebow is the anti-christ and the kid knows it, or the kid is the anti-christ and all of the treacly sanctity is causing an allergic reaction in the tyke. I say kill 'em both to be safe.
  • Funny & Priceless...I love Tim Tebow, he's such a doll!!!
  • As much as I have no love lost for any religious zealot, this article just stinks. Whoever created it is definitely a jerk and Yardbarker is no better, for putting it on line. Total classless junk.
  • even the baby knows tebow's a bum

DENVER It might not conjure up memories of Tim Tebow, whose No. 15 jersey was worn by legions of fans in Denver. Still, Andre Caldwell was swarmed for autographs after a recent Broncos scrimmage. 29-year-old New York Yankees minor leaguer Pat Venditte normally wouldn’t be a player worth noticing.
