JaMarcus Russell is a new man. And he’s half the man he used to be — literally. The former NFL Draft bust made it known in January that he was attempting an NFL comeback because he wanted to change his legacy. At the time he began his comeback, Russell weighed 308 pounds, which is nearly [...]

  • If he's as "fit" as they say he is, why is he wearing a loose fitting shirt? I hope I'm wrong, but speaking from personal experience, I can attest that a person can lose 50 pounds and not be athletically fit to even compete at a minimum level of serious athletic endeavors, much less one as high as the NFL.

RUMORS & GOSSIP

Russell Wilson: God spoke to me after Super Bowl-losing INT

Russell Wilson undoubtedly will have plenty of options when his NFL playing days are done, and preacher might be at the top of the list. The Seattle Seahawks quarterback is extremely religious, so much so, that he says he speaks to the big guy himself on a regular basis. During a recent speaking speaking function at The Rock Church in San Diego, Wilson said he spoke with God in...

Jonathan Papelbon still wants out of Philly

I feel like I’ve written a version of this headline about five times over the past year, but it’s really only been four. My apologies. Anyway, as we roll along towards the All-Star Break and the trade deadline, lone Philadelphia Phillies All-Star Jonathan Papelbon is reiterating his desire to be traded to a contender before the end of the month. Kyrie Irving: Cavaliers would have won an NBA title if healthy

There’s no arguing that losing Kyrie Irving hurt the Cleveland Cavaliers against the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals. But would Irving have been the difference between losing a series in six games and winning a title? He seems to think so. During a recent appearance on The Big Podcast with Shaquille O’Neal, Irving...Read More

Are LeBron, Cavs just playing teenage games?

Follow us on Twitter @CrossoverNBA We all knew a few of them growing up. Odds are, you know a few of them now too. They’re the folks that crave some sort of drama, controversy, and say things like, “I try to avoid it, but it finds me.” It’s a mildly rough way to live, it’d seem like. Which brings us very quickly to the Cleveland Cavaliers and Lebron James. Whatever...

Bucks president threatens move to Vegas, Seattle

Everything seems to be headed in the right direction for the up-and-coming Milwaukee Bucks. Fresh off a playoff appearance this past season, Milwaukee was able to add a top-end free agent in the form of Greg Monroe to an already talent-laden roster. Unfortunately, politics in the state of Wisconsin could potentially dampen the good feelings around the organization in recent months...

ESPYs golf classic moving from Trump course

Presidential candidate and business mogul Donald Trump is losing supporters left and right (pun intended) after making controversial remarks claiming Mexico sends people over to the United States who have “lots of problems.” ESPN is the latest faction to separate itself from Trump. The “sports leader” made the decision to move their ESPY Celebrity Golf Tournament from...

Report: Pierre-Paul could miss training camp, start of season

The injuries to Jason Pierre-Paul as a result of his fireworks accident may not be life-threatening, but they may have some serious consequences. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that JPP could miss training camp and even the start of the regular season: There’s concern Jason Pierre-Paul could miss training camp, start of regular season, per team...Read More

Report: Spurs sign David West

There were rumors that David West might sign with the Cavs just days ago. Alas, rather than come to Cleveland the veteran power forward has chosen to go, well, west, as he has signed a one-year contract with the San Antonio Spurs for the veteran’s minimum, worth about $1.4 million. West opted out of his contract with the Indiana Pacers, which would have paid him $12 million this...
