Gronk on the red carpet at the 2012 ESPYS  If the events of the past few weeks are any indication — not to mention every classic Ron Gronkowski moment from the past few years – all signs are pointing to the inevitable certainty that we are witnessing the gestational stages of “Summer of Gronk 2: Electric Boogaloo.” And now it has been announced that New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski — who should have Poison’s “Nothin’ but a Good Time” played whenever he enters a room — will be serving as the Oscars Red Carpet correspondent for the Rich Eisen’s podcast. Yeah, this could either go brilliantly or be a complete train wreck. Either way, it cannot be disputed that it will be entertaining. Let’s just hope there aren’t any impromptu pee parties in the men’s restroom similar to the one Gronk engaged in after the ESPYS last year. According to a tweet from NFL Media PR retweeted by the Eisen Podcast’s Twitter account, Gronk will be conducting interviews with all the big stars, presumably while he’s nattily attired in a sharp tuxedo with its sleeves cut off and no shirt underneath — or maybe just a cummerbund and little else, because hey, that’s how Rob Gronkowski rolls. Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski will be the Oscars Red Carpet correspondent for @theeisenpodcast @richeisen, conducting interviews with the stars — NFL Media PR (@InsideNFLMedia) February 14, 2013   A best of Gronk on the Red Carpet will be part of @theeisenpodcast TV show airing Thursday, Feb. 28 at 8:30 PM ET on @nflnetwork — NFL Media PR (@InsideNFLMedia) February 14, 2013   All the beautiful people — with Rob Gronkowski in tow — will be descending on Hollywood in a little more than a week, as the 85th annual Academy Awards will be held on Sunday, Feb. 24 and the best of Gronk’s coverage will be featured on “The Rich Eisen Podcast” TV show scheduled to air on Thursday, Feb. 28 at 8:30 ET on the NFL Network. That’s Must-See TV if there has ever been such a thing. All I know is if the festivities don’t devolve into heinous, alcohol-fueled debauchery culminating in Gronk doing beer bongs with Joan Rivers, I’m going to be sorely disappointed.   TweetThe post Rob Gronkowski: Oscars Red Carpet correspondent for Rich Eisen’s podcast appeared first on Sportress of Blogitude.

Steve Nash: Curry's shooting 'greatest there's ever been'

Steve Nash shot 43 percent from three-point range over the course of his Hall of Fame worthy career. He earned eight All-Star Game trips and won two NBA MVP’s. As a player who re-defined the point guard position when he entered the league in 1996 with the likes of Allen Iverson, Kobe Bryant and Ray Allen, Nash is someone we should listen to when it comes to today’s NBA. LeBron James playing through sprained wrist

As in every sport, the long NBA season brings players a consistent amount of aches and pains. This is only magnified if a player is suiting up for a team that’s made a deep run into the playoffs. Nearly 100 games and eight months of high-intensity basketball has four-time NBA MVP LeBron James dealing with a wrist injury that has impacted him through the vast majority of the season...

Louis Murphy: Jameis Winston reminds me of Tim Tebow

Louis Murphy is probably the only wideout to have played with both Tim Tebow and Jameis Winston, and he sees some similarities between the Heisman winners. “I just saw how much of a competitor he is. He competes,” Murphy said, via NFL.com. He doesn’t like losing. He wants to win and that’s a guy I want to play with. He’s young, kind of similar to Tim Tebow in a way,...

Zuccarello lost ability to speak after taking puck to head

New York Rangers forward Mats Zucarrello suffered one of scariest hockey injuries in recent memories, which certainly is saying a lot. Zuccarello missed a good chunk of the Rangers’ playoff to the Eastern Conference finals after he was struck in the head with a shot from teammate Ryan McDonagh in New York’s first-round series with the Pittsburgh Penguins. As you could see...
