Perhaps there is no play that better encapsulates the mess the Jets are perceived to be than the incompeltion seen above. The Jets had a 3rd and 3 in the third quarter against the Dolphins on Sunday and had Tim Tebow lined up as a receiver. Tebow went in motion and ran to the flat, but Sanchez threw a pass before Tebow was looking. The ball went off Tebow’s helmet for an incompletion, leading to a punt.

The Jets were termed a circus before the season began, but then they put an end to that talk with a 48-28 hammering of the Bills in Week 1. But after a Week 2 loss and more media problems, they’re appearing to be the mess of a franchise we thought they were.

  • Hey Sanchez, He was covered, you know it and so do we. You threw the ball knowing he wouldnt expect it, you threw it early so he'd look foolish, but its all going to backfire on you in the next three games when your at home and the fans start chanting T-E-B-O-W........ T-E-B-O-W... Sanchez youve had your chance. Your innacurate and your not a leader. Get the heck out of the way and let a real man run that offense. Tebow Tebow Tebow Tebow Tebow Tebow
  • Hell Yea, i agree. Let Tebow lead these guys. They will win for sure. Love Tebow and I hope that they do chant T-E-B-O-W....T-E-B-O-W. I knwo I would be if I was there. Love u Tebow. keep fighting on and don't give u.
  • Not likely.
  • Teblows miracle days are over, he used up his wishes.. Elway didnt want him, and Rex Ryan found out how pathetic he is the hard way.. Teblows is worse than ryan Leaf, and just doesnt fit in at any position.. And hes proving it more than hes proving hes worthy to be a QB, or a heisman winner.. Pathetic!!
  • Wow. You must be a Buckeye or a Volunteer. Get over it TEBOW owns you!!
  • I'm a Wolverine fan and we owned Tebow. He was good in college but the NFL is totally different. Sure he is good at moments but he is not a good qb.
  • Sure, we all know tebow has never thrown a pass that made a receiver look "foolish".
  • My son was watching the game with me. He said "I think he did that on purpose to make him look bad." Nothing can look worse than Sanchez's performance each week.
  • Mess? They look good and I think they will get better. The media love to create a story and this one doesn't make any sense. Move on to something else.
  • Tebow sucks as bad as Sanchez.
  • and you can do better? Maybe if they watch you they will say you suck..
  • stryker....please see quote to your homo buddy suntanzallyear. It applies to you also!
  • WE ALL MISS TIM TEBOW HERE IN COLORADO AND WE ARE HOPING HE WILL GET A FAIR DEAL THERE IN NEW YORK. NEVER GIVE UP TIMMY
  • WTF? Are you serious.??? Colorado didnt like Tebow anymore than Elway getting rid of his butt in the first place.. Stop lying to yourself
  • Tim Tebow had a huge following in CO and the area, sure there are a few Football Purists that have their own idea of how the game should be played, but he made the game exciting again with his unpredictability and intense desire to win. Elway was never sold on any McDaniels, so they all had to go. SunTanAllYear - you aint got a clue about CO.
  • Would you rather have exciting, unpredictable games or wins? I know Tebow was beating teams but that was mostly because his defense could keep it within 14 points so when the other team went prevent, he could score and win. He made one good throw and that is what everyone wants to point out. He also won a game with what, 4 completions?
  • A fair deal in New York? What are you smoking?
  • You should ask what are you snorting
  • If you saw the game the ball was tipped by the defender in front of him. Classic case of media nonsense and of a stupid, mind-numb, sound bite society. it was a poorly timed pass, one of many.
  • I have watched this replay 10 times and no defender in front of Sanchez to tip ball and one covering Tebow was hit in hand as ball came off Tebows helmet. You must be a member of the stupid, mind-numb, sound bite society as you are here posting.
  • It's time for people to give Tim Tebow a break. Week after week, all I read are people "bad mouthing" him and the Jets, and it really needs to end. Tim's a good kid who's determined and loyal -- and he's a strong Christian. I think that's what bothers so many people -- that he won't lower his standards while the majority of the world bends with every wind that blows.
Go Tim -- there are more for you than against you!!!!
  • What bothers people so much is he is not a pro quarterback and we get him shoved down our throats daily. Now he is gonna be a politician..better fit. (LOL) By the way Tebow blows.
  • Seems you like it shoved down your throat since you clicked to on the article.
  • The writer does realize they won the game....with Sanchez. And as far as getting hit on the helmet with the ball, it hurts a hell of a lot less than getting sacked multiple times in a game. I'm done making fun of Tebow. The media has taken all the fun out it with endless stories of drama that do not contribute one bit to football. Tim Tebow is a good athlete. If he has the right coach and a good offensive line, there is a chance he could have a good career. But all you crappy writers and reporters are making him look like Kim Kardashian.
  • hes not a good athlete. and is a fluke heisman winner and cry bay. If he was that goo delway wouldnt have gotten rid of him. He only won cause defences were poor played. he has good coaches between Denver, and even the jets.. Just too much over over a unqaulified wanna be QB, or whatever position he thinks he can play..
  • incredible someone can be this clueless.
  • Agreed TimsFan....Tebow is a class act, and those that put him down every other breath are afraid of what he stands for. Hopefully an NFL team will get him and let him play full time, you will see a big change, kind of hard to get better sitting on the bench. More people are inspired by Tim and that is what counts.
  • no ones scared of Tebow, or you mean like Rex ryan braging about Wildcat that failed even in preseason? Keep wishing, keep praying.. Hes had his miracles lol hes not an NFL QB.. Period!!! get over it.. but as long as he has followers, I guess God will judge him for breaking the commandments of idolizing etc lol If he wants to be like for his inspirations etc,, do it away from football.. He should listen to Kurt Warners advice about faith, christianity and football.. Teblow is a failur as far as football goes. Great he sticks with his faith.. this is football not church or a missionary
  • Maybe you should learn how to write, spell, puncuate, capitalize, etc. etc. etc. before you put others down...and just so you know, one who has faith does not put that faith aside and pick it back up when it is convenient for them or others...you carry your faith wherever you go...to church, onto the football field or whatever. Tim Tebow may not be the best quarterback out there, but he certainly isn't the worst either and he deserves to be given a bit more respect than he gets.
  • I agree but her issues maybe from to much tanning all year
  • A failure? The guy has done nothing but win where ever he goes.

I guess RG3 needs to stick with faith as well since he prayed after scoring his TDs.

Hell, 30 or so players got in the middle of the field after the Miami/Jets game and prayed.....I guess they should all give up the sport as well.

    Idiotic.
  • typical gator comment. This is pro football....not sunday school.
  • I love the drama queens at the media, somebody farts and they write about it....
  • Let Tebow play. I love a train wreck.
Poor Sanchez needs to get on a real football team.
This Rex Ryan Clown show is fine for NY, doesn't float in the NFL.
If he was so well covered, why did the ball hit him in the head?
Tebow is a hyped up joke. I am glad he is a Jet!
  • you really should watch the video of the play you are commenting on. Your comment shows you are clueless of the situation.
  • I, personally, do not have anything against Tim Tebow. what I have a problem with is everyone building him up to be more than what he is. He is not the only Christian in sports. He is not the top rated QB in the league. I do not understand all of the fuss over someone who was traded to become a second string QB. If he was evertything that the fans believe him to be then the EXPERTS would have given him a starting position somewhere.
  • Ok well go ahead and name someone else in sports who is Christian and I don't mean the ones who are married with children and go to church. Anyone can say they are Christian but to live by it is another story. Tim Tebow believes in his values and lives by it. The guy is a good quarterback and just like someone else wrote it, if he had the right coach and good offensive line he'd make it the right way. He's never gonna make it being second string to a wimp like Sanchez who throws a play to someone's back. And I don't see why people like you have a problem with Tebow fans building him up. Look at Saints QB Drew Brees the guy got a raise (which I don't think he deserved one bit) and the most building up by fans I've ever seen and I don't even think he's worth all the build up he's getting. They blaming the new coach cause he can't play worth a damn. Then not to mention the EXPERTS you talking about. What experts? They don't give a hoot about anyone except themselves. The experts yeah right the experts are gonna give him a starting position somewhere. Yeah right that's a joke.
  • Dude really, Teblow had good coaches in College, even shared with Newton.. And he ended up losing and crying like a girl. He was a laughing stock as he is now. everyone has followers. Specially those that follow faith and hope with mystecism and superstitions. He has Elway, and guess what.. They got rid of Teblows.. Sanchez is a really good QB, and without all the off-attention. The jets coulda focused on more important things.. Teblows got more attention than Superbowl and Giants, and QB's that are 10x better. And all these docs on Teblows.. If he was such a christian. He would have asked ppl not to follow and idolize him as it says in the 10 commandments. But see, its about money. Now look at gods Karma lol And your hating on Brees, whos provinghimself seven fold to Tebow? Dude you just wanted to hear yourself obviously, cause you have no clue about football or statistic.. why cause saints having a bad year.. Brees has still been more productive in 3 losing games than teblow has in his entire NFL career, even with teams playing poor defence and giving up wins.. Choke yourself..your lame and weak
  • More uninformed comments.
Tebow did not have good coaching at UF. He was trained to run the option and THAT was all.
Cam Newton was only there with the same coaches for 1/2 a year before he was kicked out for being a theif.
  • Tebow wears it on his sleeve. He waits for cameras to do his "TEBOW" ...pretty self promoting. There are plenty of Christians playing ball. Evere see them take a knee at the end of the game? Tebow is the Joke.
  • RG3 took a knee several times in his first game.
Several players do it. Have you ever been to a game? Obviously you have NOT.

Tebow does not self promote. The cameras are on him all the time .
  • Exactly the point. To be a Christian you don't have to publicize it. Your actions would show your faith. Not you posturing for the cameras. The other Chrisitians on the field are the ones who gather at the 50 AFTER the game (Home and Away Teams together, when the cameras no longer care) and they pray together. And since when did praying become TEBOWING???? I was getting on my knees in prayer waaaay before TEBOW was even thought of.

And, the experts that I am referring to are the PROFESSIONAL coaches, talent scouts and even players (past and present) who think and have stated that Tebow is not ready. Once again, if he was,Elway (HOF QB and two time Superbowl Champion) would not have traded him. And if Tebow was a high caliber QB then there would have been a feeding frenzy to obtain him the was there was when teams found out the Peyton Manning was available. And HE was injured and still receiving offers.
  • Lol dude come on. He's not a good quarterback. He had a good coach and good offensive line in Denver and he completed 46% of his passes. Of course your argument will be "well he won." Did he really? Yes as a starter he was 7-4 but he won in very low scoring games. Last time I checked, he didn't play defense. I'm sorry but I'm not impressed by 130 yards passing and a rushing touchdown, winning 10-7. Lions beat him 48-7 if I remember right. Patriots made him look foolish twice, and even Bills ripped him up. Any team that put up points blew them away. Isn't the one ultimate goal in the NFL winning a superbowl? Sure Tebow can win some games here and there because of his running ability, but he will NEVER win a a superbowl as a starting quarterback. He flat out does NOT HAVE THE PASSING ABILITY TO GIVE A TEAM THE CHANCE TO GO ALL THE WAY..PERIOD. And Brees isn't worth the build up? Dude he's thrown for 5000 yards twice in his career, wins his division almost every year, has a SUPERBOWL, and is one of very few guys that can take a game into his own hands and win. Do you not understand the importance of a head coach? Get your head out of your ass and watch football
  • Tim Tebow is a quarterback not a receiver. Stupid Jets. To downgrade Tebow is an insult to him. Why not just leave him sitting on the bench if you think that low of him. Damn.
  • Tim Tebow = Ryan Leaf + Todd Marinovich
  • You know Im tired of analyst that just follow along. dont know what their talking about. Tebow isnt a NFL QB, then he wins a few games of poor defences, and gets all this garbage hype. Now that hes proving not only is he not a NFL QB.. He's not a Te, RB, wildcat players or a reciever. Make up your damn minds, you all do this week to week, and make excuses. Short week, holdouts, blah blah. Football players do this as a living, and make millios.. There are no excuses!! your either in it, or your trying to be. Teblow has alwasy been a loser and whiner hiding behind faith and attention. Elway knew better, thats why they released him. And hes the clown of the Jets. Get this guy outta the NFL, so we can find out about his following and struggles to be a wanna be pastor..
  • Tim Tebow = Danny Wuerffel aka Ichabod Crane
  • While the Jets pulled it off, it was an embarassing win for sure. . .to me it was a fair game, both teams were awful, but don't blame Sanchez alone, seems like his receivers were not receiving very well, at least that's they way it looked to me. . . as for Tebow, well I say give him a shot. Thanks Folk for winning the game for us, seems you were pretty much the only one in it to win it!!!
  • So this is an Article because this was the first time in the HISTORY of the NFL a football bounced off of a helmut ... Right ?
  • WHO CARES !!!!!! about a pass going off a helmet. Happens all the time. You all grow up and I guess you don't watch much football to see this happen
  • I am so sick and tired of all the big mouths who are always coming down on Tebow. Leave the guy alone. I would like to see all of you fatheads do better. What is it about Tebow that bothers you? Of course the day after, all of you know it alls are busy pointing out what he did or didn't do during the game.I would love to see all the naysayers get their butts on the field and do better....but I know that would never happen.
  • Seriously, is this even newsworthy? This is absolutely useless and this happens often in all of football. I swear, the media and their infatuation with Tim Tebow is beyond ridiculous.

LSU S blasts Tigers fans for leaving game early

These LSU fans aren’t loyal. That’s what Tigers’ safety Jamal Adams thinks, anyway.  Wednesday evening, LSU’s men’s basketball team lost to Tennessee on senior night, 78-63. Many Tigers’ fans were seen departing from the Pete Maravich Assembly Center with minutes to go in the contest.  This did not please Adams, a 6-foot, 206-pound rising sophomore on the LSU football...

Nobody’s safe in the NFL and nothing is sacred

Part of the reason that the signing of Josh McCown was such big news in Cleveland is because it meant the end of Brian Hoyer. As a player, there’s nothing worth talking about with Brian. Even as I’ve supported him as a player, I only did so while acknowledging that in a given year, he could be, at best, a mediocre quarterback. For other fans it went deeper because Brian Hoyer...
