Found August 11, 2013 on Fox Sports:
Two games into the exhibition season, most of the Miami Dolphins' offense remains under wraps. Receiver Mike Wallace is the team's most heralded newcomer, but while he made his exhibition debut in Friday's victory at Jacksonville, quarterback Ryan Tannehill has yet to look his way with the ball. Lamar Miller, the likely starter at running back, carried only twice for 6 yards, and because of injuries the offensive line has been a patchwork affair since training camp began. The starters might show a little more Saturday at Houston in the third of five exhibition games. But coach Joe Philbin said the Dolphins will use only half their scheme during the preseason.

Will the Miami Dolphins make the playoffs?

The Dolphins have suffered through mediocre seasons for over the past decade, with the exception of the horrendous 1-15 2007 season, and the miraculous 11-5 record in 2008. Year in and year out , the Dolphins either: play a great first half of the season, followed by a disappointing second half, or vice versa. Usually, the Dolphins come up short when it comes to the off-season moves...

Mike Wallace is confident Dolphins will be aggressive

To the common eye it might have looked like the Jacksonville Jaguars were daring the Dolphins offense to go deep. Play after play early on in Friday night's 27-3 preseason win over Jacksonville the Jaguars appeared to line up with a single-safety high look and had its cornerback close to the Dolphins' receivers. For most offenses that kind of look might warrant a go-route...

Lamar Miller not a lock to start at RB?

When the Dolphins let Reggie Bush walk this off-season it was assumed 2nd year running back Lamar Miller would be given the keys to the running game and put his skill set and quick feet to the test on the field. Miller has had the fan base and fantasy football owners excited by his potential as many has touted him to be the next stud running back in the league. Many assumed that...

Dolphins' Mike Wallace chasing 2,000-yard receiving season

DAVIE, Fla. -- It's got as much a chance of happening as no-nonsense Joe Philbin performing a vaudeville skit. But at least it's fun that Mike Wallace is still talking about having a 2,000-yard receiving season. In 2011, when the wideout was with the Pittsburgh Steelers, he told the Beaver County Times about the upcoming season, "I have big goals. I plan to get 2,000...

Miami Dolphins 2013 Fantasy Football Projections

QB Ryan Tannehill (Miami) Ryan Tannehill gets two new weapons to work with in Mike Wallace and Dustin Keller. Wallace may be overrated, but he’ll give them an upgrade on the outside, as Keller will at tight end. They have serious issues at left tackle, which could cancel some of that out, but I do expect Tannehill to improve on last year’s numbers, even if only because he has...

Ryan Tannehill's final drive an encouraging sign for Dolphins

Ryan Tannehill was one failed drive away from hearing a work's worth of criticism. After a mediocre preseason debut in Miami's preseason opener, and a four-interception day last Tuesday in practice, the Dolphins quarterback looked really crummy to start his team's 27-3 win Friday night at Jacksonville. But Tannehill then redeemed himself with an impressive touchdown...

Protection and Health Will Key Dolphins Passing Game

Keller (81) and Wallace (11). (Photo: El Nuevo Herald) While the Miami Dolphins offense struggled early on once again in Friday's 27-3 preseason victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, the starting unit finally got it together on its final drive which resulted in a touchdown. But despite the early struggles, it has become apparent that this will be a far more dangerous team...

Tannehill stronger in second outing

Ryan Tannehill played a little longer and a lot smoother in his second preseason game. The Jacksonville Jaguars can only hope Blaine Gabbert will do the same. Tannehill completed 5 of 9 passes for 75 yards, including a 22-yard touchdown pass to newcomer Dustin Keller, and the Dolphins thumped the Jaguars 27-3 in a preseason game Friday night. The Dolphins (1-1) managed just one...

Lamar Miller Not Yet Declared Miami's Starting RB

Dolphins offensive coordinator Mike Sherman said Sunday that the running back competition is "pretty close," according to the Miami Herald.Fantasy Spin:Lamar Miller has seemingly been in the lead since the spring, but apparently Daniel Thomas, who has a career 3.5 ypc average, is still in the hunt. We expect Miller to win the job, but Sherman's comments might cause...

Ryan Tannehill sharp as Dolphins pound Jaguars

Dolphins' offensive starters yet to find stride

BY SEAN DONOVANAt a quick glance of the box score, it looks like the Miami Dolphins clicked as a team during their second preseason game -- a 27-3 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars Friday night. But a closer examination reveals a group of offensive first-stringers still struggling to get on the same page.Quarterback Ryan Tannehill looked indecisive in the pocket for a second straight...

Defense shows progress in Jaguars' loss to Dolphins

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Miami Dolphins' 27-3 victory Friday night over the Jacksonville Jaguars wasn't so much a reflection on how far the Dolphins have progressed as it was a commentary on how far the Jaguars still need to go. Aside from a 23-yard field goal by Josh Scobee at the end of a 16-play drive engineered by second-string quarterback Chad Henne, the first game...
