You won’t be sorry Juan…

Round By Round Picks 12 Man PPR League

1.  Jimmy Graham

I took Graham this early for a couple of reasons.  First, he is my top ranked TE and we start a TE weekly, which gives me an advantage at the position.  He may not repeat his record 2011 season, but in a PPR league the guy will be a beast.

2.  Marshawn Lynch

Speaking of beasts, I took Beast Mode with my 2nd pick and I did pick Lynch over Jamaal Charles and Adrian Peterson.  I didn’t want someone with an injury issue or someone that will get goaline carries taken away.

3.  Greg Jennings

His concussion issue had him fall in this draft and although I missed out on PPR beast Wes Welker by one pick, I was happy to get the #1 option in Green Bay.  I have a backup plan in case he has relapse.

4.  Marques Colston

Colston is possibly the most underrated WR in fantasy this season.  He missed the first 2 games of 2011 and still had 80/1143/8.  He should have a bigger role in 2012 and it wouldn’t surprise me to see him finish with 90/1200/10 this season.

5.  Kevin Smith

I may have reached for Smith a bit, but he will get first crack at he job in 2012 and the Lions checked down to their RBs all season.  In PPR leagues I would move him up a round over standard.

6.  Peyton Hillis

I went back to back with RBs, because they were running thin.  I really like Hillis as a guy who can catch 60 receptions and score double digit TDs.  A great flex option each week.

7.  Philip Rivers

Rivers has been a target of mine this season, based on the fact that I can get him at the end of the 7th round.  I know the vibes haven’t been great in San Diego, but Gates is healthy and Rivers came one strong in the second half of 2011.

8.  Titus Young

I’m thinking big things for Young this season.  He has been unstoppable in camp and plays in one of the most dynamic offenses in football.  Oh, and a guy named Megatron plays opposite him.  A strong WR3.

9.  Kendall Wright

Wright has showed the ability to separate from defenders and make big plays.  He and Locker already look like they are on the same page, so I’m happy to take the risk with a rookie WR at the end of the 9th.

10. Pierre Thomas

Darren Sproles has been shut down for the entire preseason and although the Saints don’t seem worried about it.  Mark Ingram doesn’t exactly have a clean bill of health.  PT Cruiser has good value in PPR as he is a guy who can’t carry the load, but is a jack of all trades.

11. Danny Amendola

I’m not a big in standard leagues, but 90 plus catches could be in the works in 2012.  He has lit up camp and is “clearly” the #1.  I’m in for PPR leagues.

12. Jake Locker

I love Locker’s upside and wanted to backup Rivers if he goes down the tubes.  I was happy to get him in the later rounds.

13. Randall Cobb

I like Cobb to break out this season and not that I meant to handcuff Greg Jennings, but that’s what happened.  Cobb would be a top 15-20 guy if Jennings goes down.

14. 49ers

Where I picked, I was the first to grab a K/DF and since I don’t care about Kickers I took the #1 DF.

15. Rob Bironas

Kickers are stupid, but Bironas should be better than the 12th best K.

Can Rob Gronkowski and Jimmy Graham repeat their 2011 performance? Rob Gronkowski Rizzla: No, Rob Gronkowski is unlikely to repeat his outstanding performance this year. While I still think he has the highest TD upside of all tight ends his yardage will likely regress with new weapons for Tom Brady to throw to. I have him projected for 1,152 yards and 15 TD’s, still numbers that...

Roger Goodell is persona non grata at Jonathan Vilma’s restaurant

HBO’s Real Sports feature on Steve Gleason is both heartbreaking and inspiring (VIDEO)

Last night, HBO’s Real Sports ran a feature on former New Orleans Saint Steve Gleason, and if you didn’t catch it, set your DVRs and make sure you watch this episode. (AP Photo by Gerald Herbert via Freep.com) Gleason – a special teams standout for the New Orleans Saints from 2000-2007 – played an important role in helping to re-inspire the city of New Orleans following...

Wade Phillips Considers Drew Brees NFL's 'All-Time Best Passer,' Thinks 'the World of Him'

Maybe it was a slip of the tongue. Maybe Texans defensive coordinator Wade Phillips defines the term "passer" a little differently than most. Or maybe Phillips is just jealous of what Saints fans have down in New Orleans. Whatever the case may be, Phillips' confidence in Drew Brees goes beyond that of probably even the most loyal fan. "You're going against...

The New Orleans Saints And Their Fans Are Still Sticking It To Roger Goodell

In the least surprising news of the month and possibly year, suspended New Orleans Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma is still super pissed off at NFL commissioner Roger Goodell for making him the poster boy of what was lazily dubbed “Bountygate”. For a refresher, the league banned Vilma for a year – as well as Gregg Williams for eternity and Sean Payton for the season, among...

Jonathan Vilma’s restaurant has signs saying not to serve Roger Goodell (Picture)

Roger Goodell is probably one of those people that doesn’t have to call ahead to make reservations at a fancy restaurant. Goodell makes millions of dollars a year and is a celebrity among the sports community. One restaurant that we know for certain he wouldn’t need a reservation at is Brother Jimmy’s BBQ in Miami. The reason being? He’s not welcome there. Brother Jimmy’s...

Saints name Kromer acting head coach

The Saints named offensive line coach Aaron Kromer acting head coach, making him the third member of the staff to wear the title in five months. Sean Payton was suspended for the 2012 season in March and assistant head coach Joe Vitt, the interim coach, will serve a six-game suspension for his connection to the bounty program the team allegedly ran from 2009 to 2011 under former...

Jonathan Vilma DOES NOT Want Roger Goodell To Eat

Background: NFL Owner, Roger Goodell, suspended Saints LB Jonathan Vilma for the entire season because of what Vilma says are ‘unsubstantiated claims’.  Vilma is currently suing Goodell for defamation.  So basically, there is a lot of bad blood between the two. This poster is apparently being displayed in Brother Jimmy’s BBQ restaurant (in Miami) which is co-owned by Vilma.

Jonathan Vilma Doesn't Want Roger Goodell to Eat According to this Sign

NYD - A couple of suspended NFL linebackers who are unhappy with Goodell’s heavy hand when it comes to discipline have made it clear that the 53-year-old isn’t welcome at their eatery, where a photo of Goodell is taped to the door with the orders: DO NOT SERVE THIS MAN.Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma and Broncos linebacker D.J. Thank Gggod he’s gggone

Michael Silver has it right: NEW ORLEANS – The day after he made the infamous speech that would provide a chilling context to the New Orleans Saints’ pay-for-injury scandal, Gregg Williams engaged in a conspicuous display of recklessness that some in the Crescent City still find even harder to forgive. This is old ground, and I’m trying to watch my blood pressure, so I won’t...

DO NOT SERVE FOR REASON OF GINGER HAMMERING

Jonathan Vilma’s campaign of outward aggression toward Roger Goodell has been as persistent as it has been tremendous. The latest salvo comes in the form of signs denying Goodell service posted in the restaurant that Vilma owns along with fellow suspended linebacker D.J. Williams and non-suspended linebacker Jon Beason. Rich people get the best opportunities for petty revenge...
