As expected after a fairly gruesome-looking injury, Safety Chinedum Ndukwe was placed on injured reserve today. Chinny becomes the 15th player put on IR, and he’s the 7th defensive back. The team will likely bring in another safety on Tuesday. Hobson speculates it will be former Bengal Marvin “Gator” White.
Does it really matter? Whoever he is, he won’t be able to contribute much for 2010, and if he’s on the street he’s probably not the answer anyway.
In more good news, the Bengals December 26th game versus San Diego has been flexed out of the Sunday Night Football slot on NBC. The game was replaced by the more scintillating match-up of Minnesota and Philadelphia.
