The great coaches in the NFL don’t force the issue, and they are flexible in finding ways to succeed. New Browns defensive coordinator Ray Horton says he won’t force the 3-4 schemes he ran in Arizona if the fit isn’t right. He is excited with the talent he has inherited and wants to maximize their potential. Horton spoke to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer about what’s his first thought on his new defense. "I'm on a team that's loaded with talented young players, with great ownership. There are young players on both sides of the ball, the team is on the upswing and it looks like they're ready to take charge of that division. Just point them in the right direction and go." On what style Horton likes: “Aggressive. I don’t know if anybody pressured more than I did last year and that’s the kind of stuff we’ll do here,” Horton said. “I’m a coach of men, whether it’s 3-4, 4-3, 5-5, I don’t care. I’m going to coach men.” Related articles SPORTS: Browns Hire Ray Horton as Defensive Coordinator (newstalkcleveland.com) Ray Horton Named Browns Defensive Coordinator (cleveland.cbslocal.com) Cleveland Browns Reportedly Hire Ray Horton as Defensive Coordinator (bleacherreport.com) var switchTo5x=true; stLight.options({publisher:''});
