As new Browns owner Jimmy Haslam waits for league approval before he’s officially becomes the owner of the Browns, he decided to sit in the famous “Dawg Pound” during Friday night’s preseason game against the Eagles.
“At his introductory news conference Aug. 3, Haslam vowed to mingle with the masses at Browns family night during training camp and to sit in the stands for a preseason game.
“Besieged by fans, Haslam didn’t see much of the action, posing for photos and signing autographs. Haslam wore a brown polo shirt with the team logo and slacks,” wrote the Akron Beacon-Journal.
I’m sure Browns fans really appreciated their new owner mingling with them as they hopefully look towards a brighter future.

The Cleveland Browns have made cuts down to 80 players. They have until August 31st to cut down to the 53 man roster.
The Browns have cut former 6th round pick WR Carlton Mitchell, who could never stay healthy enough to develop in the NFL. Mitchell is one of four wide receivers cut-

Browns rookie quarterback Brandon Weeden knows he needs to get a grip.
Weeden has already fumbled three times during the exhibition season, losing the ball twice and costing Cleveland points with his turnovers. In Friday's 27-10 loss to Philadelphia, Weeden fumbled twice in the first quarter. The first one wasn't his fault as his protection broke down on a botched screen...
Browns running back Montario Hardesty started in place of Trent Richardson (knee) again this week, but didn't look good at all and may have lost his spot as the No. 2 guy. He rushed for 12 yards on eight carries vs. Philadelphia, and more importantly, fumbled for the second week in a row.Fantasy Spin:At this point we are not sure whether Hardesty or Brandon Jackson is the correct...
Browns rookie quarterback Brandon Weeden struggled against the Eagles on Friday night, going 9-of-20 for 117 yards and fumbling twice.Fantasy Spin:Weeden and a mediocre set of receivers are a long way from being fantasy worthy and you should stay away, stay far away, on draft day.
Week 3 of the preseason: The dress rehearsal that won’t really be much of one, thanks to scheduling. The Browns will finally play host, and this time, allegedly in their brown uniforms! The Mike Vick-less Eagles come to town, but at this stage, the opponent means very little. This one is all about the Browns and continued progression towards the start of the regular season. Want...
Naturally, it was all a smokescreen. Right? “Of interest mainly to fans who endure paying full price for half value, the Browns’ exhibition home opener Friday against Philadelphia was one in which neither team wanted to show much. That was to avoid tipping off their wilier designs before the regular-season opener between the teams in 16 days.
The Browns’ starters, if nothing...

CLEVELAND (AP) -- Rookie quarterback Nick Foles, filling in for injured starter Michael Vick, threw two touchdown passes in the first quarter to lead the Philadelphia Eagles to a 27-10 victory over the mistake-prone Cleveland Browns on Friday night.
With Vick sidelined with bruised ribs, Foles stepped in and played impressively for the Eagles (3-0), who open the regular season in...
Philadelphia Eagles rookie quarterback Nick Foles outplayed Cleveland Browns rookie Brandon Weeden on Friday night, and it wasn’t all that close.
Weeden struggled against the Eagles
Weeden fumbled twice while completing just 9 of his 20 pass attempts. Weeden also did not appear to be on the same page as his No. 1 receiver, completing just one of fourpasses aimed at Greg Little...
