February 6th, 2005... 2013 will be the eighth season that the Patriots will suit up since last bringing the Lombardi trophy to Foxboro Massachusetts. Even after stocking up for the 2007 season, the team could not get it done, losing a dumbfounding contest to the Giants in the waning moments of a disappointing Super Bowl.Matching the talent of that 2007 season seems almost impossible; Belichick had amassed a plethora of talent to complement Tom Brady in Randy Moss, Wes Welker, Donte Stallworth, Ben Watson, Mike Vrabel, Tedi Bruschi, Richard Seymour, Rodney Harrison, Asante Samuel, Vince Wilfork, Adalius Thomas, Junior Seau... wow! That kind of talent rarely assembles on one field at any given time, even on BOTH teams. The current squad of Patriots has a number of holes on both sides of the ball. So these are the problem areas the Patriots need to address to not only get back to the Super Bowl, but to make sure that they secure that trophy one more time.

In a hollow attempt to show everyone that...
Why did Zoltan Mesko feel inclined to tweet a photo of himself in a Speedo holding chihuahuas while ankle-deep in a swimming pool? Has Tom Brady’s prowess for highly mockable fab photos spread throughout the entire Patriots roster? Is Mesko yet another of the league’s many SOOPER ZANY punters? Or is it just because the endless off-season does this sort of thing to all of us?...

When the news broke that Tom Brady and the New England Patriots had agreed on a 3-year, $27 million extension, many assumed Brady took a hometown discount for the Patriots. Assuredly so because market value for a top quarterback dictates that yearly salary should be in the $18-$20 million range (just ask Joe Flacco). But [...]
