If you check out the early lines on betsportsweb's 2008 NFL football propositions you'll see that the Patriots once again are the big favorites to win Super Bowl XLIII.
Unless you were born under a rock you couldn't miss the fact that New England blazed into last years Super Bowl with a 19-0 record. Odds makers understand this when they compiled this years lines.
Both Tom Brady and Randy Moss return after a record shattering 2007 that won many a fantasy football league.
Brady threw for a record 50 TD's while registering only 8 interceptions. While Randy Moss's 2007 numbers were equally mind boggling. Moss caught 98 catches for 1,493 yards, yielding 15.2 yards per catch, and 23 TD's.
Those numbers are solid in any division, but New England plays in the week AFC East which nearly makes them a lock for the playoffs.
If New England can combine lofty numbers like those with a solid run game fans can buy Super Bowl tickets now.
The biggest question facing the Patriots has to be its secondary which saw a major exodus this year. The NFL's biggest free agent, Asante Samuel signed on with Philadelphia followed by Tampa Bay's Eugene Wilson, and New Orland's Randall Gay.
All three of these players have moved on leaving a void which would cripple most NFL
teams and leaves us with one question.
Can Rodney Harrison and company carry the load this year?
