The New England Patriots are considering holding a joint practice with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before the two match up in a preseason contest on Aug. 24.
Two weeks ago, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and Saints interim head coach Joe Vitt released that they were thinking about a joint practice before their game Aug. 9. At that time, Belichick said they might entertain the idea of holding another with a different team.
Now, The Boston Herald reports that the other team might be the Buccaneers.
Nothing is for certain, but the possibility of one or both is certainly there. The Patriots, Saints and Buccaneers would need to make a decision soon so that their respective training camp schedules can be set before teams break up for a few weeks.
