There's no greater trinket to own from the NFL than a Super Bowl ring, and if you've got the cash, now could be your chance to own one of the rare pieces of NFL lore. Up for sale, on eBay no less, is a New England Patriots Super Bowl XXXVI ring. It can be yours for the low price of $63,000. Super Bowl XXXVI was the Patriots first of three championships under Bill Belichick and Tom Brady. While the ring is not a player's or coach's ring, it still has sentimental value to any Patriots fan, and frankly, any fan of NFL football. The ring is listed as 14K gold, weighing in at 70 grams, and has a total of 2.61 carats of diamonds. It's not my call as to whether the ring is worth its $63,000 price tag. If you want the ring, you'd better hurry. There are currently 27 offers for the ring. [follow]

Tom Brady turns 35, how great can he still be?

Tom Brady celebrates his birthday on Friday, August 3, 2012. He will be turning 35. At 35, that is right around the time where athletes start to decline, but still have enough to be excellent, if not to start into the decline phase.

Patriots rely on group of RBs instead of workhorse

Quarterback Tom Brady looks fine. The Patriots' passing attack should pick up right where it left off. No worries in that phase of the game across New England. The running game? Well, that's a different story. As is often the case in the Bill Belichick era, the backfield is in a state of flux. Players going. Players coming. You name it. Uncertainty rules the day. When...

The Associated Press released an inaugural NFL poll voted on by 12 analysts from around the country. Your favorite team and mine, the New England Patriots earned second on the list behind Aaron Rodgers' Green Bay Packers. Earning 369 points, just five behind the Pack, New England scraped two first-place votes, which was three behind Green Bay and current Super Bowl Champions...

Belichick fully trusts Scarnecchia with O-line

One man's injury is another man's opportunity. Under the best of circumstances, the New England Patriots' offensive line was going to be reshuffled this season after starting left tackle Matt Light announced his retirement in the spring. Then came a knee injury to All-Pro guard Logan Mankins that has kept him off the field in the early days of training camp and Sebastian...

Bill Belichick kissed Aaron Hernandez’s elbow

Amanda Swinhart / For the Boston Globe New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez told Shalie Manza Young of the Boston Globe that head coach Bill Belichick ended up kissing his elbow after he injured it during practice. “I had a little bruise on my elbow and I was whining about it, and he was just showing me the love of a father figure and he gave me a kiss on the elbow,”...

Tom Brady Turns 35; Can He Overcome His Age To Win Another Super Bowl?

By: Rich Bergeron New England Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady turned 35 on Friday, a year in which most quarterbacks start to slow down. Only four quarterbacks in the history of the NFL were able to win a Super Bowl after turning 35. John Elway is the only man to do it twice, and he was also the last one to do it. Elway is still at the helm of the Denver Broncos in a management capacity...

Seattle Seahawks' Three-Way Quarterback Battle Is in NFL, Whether You've Heard of It Or Not

You can have your quarterback battle in Tennessee -- no matter who wins, Jake Locker is taking over within a short amount of time. You can have your quarterback scrap in Cleveland -- old rookie or not, Brandon Weeden is still far better than Colt McCoy. You can have your running back squabble in New England -- whoever is deemed the starter, coach Bill Belichick is still likely to...

New England Patriots 2012 NFL Season Preview

Offense I’ve talked a lot about parity in my previews before. One team that hasn’t been subject to the ups and down of the NFL over the last decade is the New England Patriots. Since 2001, the Patriots have 9+ games every season, won double digit games in 10 of 11 seasons, made the playoffs 9 times, won 12+ 6 times and 13+ 5 times. They’ve made it to the playoffs 9 times, the...
