New England Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez was handcuffed, and taken into police custody this morning according to multiple sources.
10-12 police officers pulled up to Hernandez’s house in Attleboro, Mass around 8:45 a.m. Police knocked on the door where Hernandez looked surprised when police told him he was being taken into police custody. Hernandez was placed in handcuffs and led to a police vehicle.
Hernandez’s charge has not yet been released, but previous reports say he could be charged with “obstruction of justice”
Hernandez allegedly destroyed his cell phone and home security system in the hours following the murder of semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd. Surveillance video showed Hernandez and Lloyd together hours before the murder.
