The Tim Tebow questions have already started for new Jacksonville Jaguars GM David Caldwell, and he is doing his best to squash them before rumors start circulating. For those preparing to throw down money for Jags tickets with the belief that Tebow would come back to his hometown, you can forget it. Caldwell says it isn’t happening. “I can’t imagine a scenario where he would be a Jacksonville Jaguar,” Caldwell said. Oh, well, there’s wiggle room there, right? “Even if he’s released?” one reporter asked. “Even if he’s released,” Caldwell said Oh. This is really awkward, since it was a year ago that Shad Khan, the Jags owner, wanted Tebow really bad. Even saying that he would have gladly moved up in the 2010 draft to get him. There was also a report just a month ago that the Jaguars still wanted him. This is probably a disappointment for the few hundred or so Jaguars faithful. Listen, if the Jags aren’t looking to sign Tebow, and the Jets do in fact release him, Tim Tebow won’t be playing in the NFL next season. No team will want that distraction. Caldwell gets it. He’s not worth it now.
