Is this the next look for Miami?
50 Comments:
  • Steve Ross continues to destroy this once great franchise....leave **** alone and just let the football people run thing!!!! such an ASSCLOWN!!!
  • I'm already done with season tickets for a few years , this is another punch in my face , Stephen Ross , just don't
  • Is the Dolphins organization working as campaign directors for the Obama campaign now? This logo looks eerily similar to the Obama logo - and I think it's a BAD idea - Republicans are the majority of NFL clientele.
  • Really? The majority of the NFL clientele--where exactly do you get your numbers on ticket purchases? Not that I'm disagreeing with you, I'm just curious how you know this to be a fact.
  • Whatever ******* would compare the new logo to the obama campaign has to be one of the most stupid idiots I have ever witnessed. Oh ya, its a republican...it figures. And by the way, repubicans don't have the majority in anything!
  • Thumbs down from me!!! I'm all for updating but this is not even close.
  • No way !!! If this is the true logo for next season i feel sorry for the players that have to wear it. I think it looks a little fruity to me.... They could of at least put a mean look on the dolphin to give it a bit more spunk but i guess :/
  • UGLY!...to get our real Dolphins back to form ross and ireland have to go. sell the team to someone that cares about football...a new logo doesnt make a good team. COME ON MAN. a45+ year Dolphin fan...
  • Right. Who FN cares?
  • At least they took the helmet off the dolphin--I can't believe it's lasted this long, a truly pathetic look. I'm all for tradition, but nothing says campy, sad, 1960's advertising like a helmet on an animal.
  • Really? You have a pathetic mind!!!!!
  • wow, your criticism hurts so deeply, I am so sorry I offended your highness, please don't have me sent to prison for disagreeing with you
  • Because I disagree with you my entire mind is pathetic? I'm just glad you allow me to continue breathing since disagreeing with you means I'm so worthless. Thank you, your majesty, for your kindness.
  • Taking the helmet off was a grave mistake. That was the trademark of the franchise. Comments have been made around town that it looks more like a whale than a dolphin. Symbols speak volumes! I want the Dolphins back to consistent success more than anyone, but refuse to invest in any merchandise bearing the new logo. Changing the logo will not take this team to football prominence. 40+ years Dolphins fan
  • It's about money. Either selling jerseys or cutting down on manufacturing costs.
  • Wow, that's bad, how about a complete redesign with a mean looking Dolphin. This just keeps getting worse.
  • No matter the LOGO, Miami sucks. Change the LOGO to a Mullet. MIAMI MULLET! Mash the mullet, squish the fish, give me my Christmas wish.
  • Are you a Jets fans jerk? Go cry in your little corner and suck your thumb!!!!
  • There's something very fishy about this.
  • dolphins are mammals
  • I think this new logo is a step in the right direction. One correction please. The dolphins nose should be complete. Emphasize his belly with white, but his nose is to be blue. Otherwise he's a wimp dolphin. Next up : Raiders need a new logo. A guy with an eye patch is old. No wonder Raiders receivers can't catch a pass. Ditch this logo. Al is dead.
  • Looks like Shamu the killer whale. A real change would be to have a large dolphin adorning the top of the helmet with the face area serving as its mouth.
  • Football fans do not use words like adorning. Except when we point out the fact using words like adorning is just wrong.
  • Are you kidding! Mr. Ross you better not change it. Some of us have been around a lot longer than you. The Dolphins, not you, have the best colors and uniforms in the league. Keep it that way. Make changes in the front office and a few on the field. If you do change it, go back to the 1974-1989 logo.
  • Hey Ross! Need more fans in the stands? So far, everything you've tried has failed. Celebrity co-owners? Who cares! Promises of "rebuilding" for the future? The 'Fins have been rebuilding since 1999. Some draft picks have been OK, but free agent signings have been a bust! Try putting a team on the field that has a chance to win against anyone at any time. You'd be surprised at that fan response. BTW, this new logo STINKS!
  • I fail to see why the teams logo matters. This has got to be the gayest team name/logo in all of sports. Couple that with the fact that have have become a joke throughout the league for years and years. Maybe its time to stop wasting time, money and energy on a logo redesign, and scrap this entire team.
  • If the dolphin were human he would be wearing the helmet on the back of his neck. Looks goofy IMO.
  • Its a START in the RIGHT DIRECTION! and I'm NOT a Dolphins Fan!
  • Well not every team can have a cool team logo and mascot like my Minnesota Vikings. But when I was in high school close to 30 years ago, we were the "Mariner Dolphins". Not every Mariner team in any year even had a dolphin in the logo. We also had a wheel of a ship with a capitol "M" in the center also. I think the Miami Dolphin logo's from 1966-1996 suck! The current logo they are thinking of replacing is much better than the new one being considered in my opinion. I also agree with "BostonBornFan" The dolphin is a pretty gay logo for a NFL team and changing the design will not change that and the fact that Dolphins team has been real pathetic since the long ago days of Marino, Duper & Clayton! Keep the current logo or scrap the entire Name better yet!
  • Looks feminine.
  • Looks like a Baltimore OREO!
  • A new logo still means you suck!! Spend money on some players fool!!!!
  • a logo does not make the team any better. only good players and coaches. it also allows management new money to flow in thru merchandising
  • Couldnt agree with you more! My boss is a big raider fan, im sure he would change teams if they changed the logo! hahaha
  • Looks like something tattooed on a girl from the Florida trailer park!
  • Dude, "the dolphins" really? Think about it for a minute. Lamest logo ever. What are the dolphins gunna do? Swim me to death? Squeak so much I lay down and let Reggie Bush rush for 300 yards? No. Change the name completely to "Miami Vice" and be done with it.
  • This is about the worst logo I've ever seen. STEPHEN ROSS HAS NO COMMON SENSES!! Flat out ugly!! Leave the uniforms alone.
  • The NFL is an everybody sport. When they tried to make a tie to a political party it has been a failure.Patisains are like little kids.Let us drop this nonsense and be Americans first. Our country is suffering bacause of partisain nonsense.I just cannot believe how you made this connection(Grow Up)
  • the 1st thing that came to my mind was sea world.the dolphins got more to worry about than new logos.the miami fans now will have to spend their money on new jerseys and merchendise, while still watching mediocre football.im glad im a steeler fan whose tradition and product on the field stay pretty consistant.our owners know the best way to make money is to put a competitive team on the field every year instead of stealing the fans money every ten yrs. or so by changing logos and uniforms.this just reeks of an owner whose lining his own pockets with no regard for the fans interest.if i was a dolphin fan i would be embarressed to wear these new logos, may as well take the sun out of it and have him swimming in front of a nice big rainbow.
  • I do logos. the dolphin needs charachter. it is to bland. make it aggressive like the new broncos logo did. I can do a great logo for them.
