NASHVILLE Tennessee quarterback Matt Hasselbeck left Sunday's game with New Orleans with a left calf injury 11:13 left in the second quarter and his return was listed as questionable. On a bizarre series of plays, the Titans had three consecutive penalties called on their offensive line and faced a 1st-and-35. Hasselbeck went back to pass, had his throw tipped into the air...

Titans come up just short against Saints, lose Hasselbeck

Substituting for an injured Matt Hasselbeck, Jake Locker led a spirited Titan comeback that came up short as time ran out in a 22-17 loss to New Orleans. Fantasy Spin: Locker had 282 yards and a TD, as well as 36 yards rushing and a TD, in relief of Hasselbeck, who had to leave in the first half due to a calf injury. Chris Johnson retreated back into his shell, rushing for a measly...

Titans QB Matt Hasselbeck Day-To-Day With Calf Injury

If Titans quarterback Matt Hasselbeck is healthy enough, he will start this Sunday’s game against the Colts, Coach Mike Munchak said on Monday. But that’s a big question mark as Hasselbeck deals with a calf injury he suffered in the 22-17 loss to the Saints this past Sunday. Hasselbeck remained sore on Monday but was walking around Baptist Sports Park “pretty good,” Munchak said...

Jake Locker Could Make First NFL Start On Sunday

Jake Locker was once projected to get drafted ahead of Andrew Luck in preseason draft rankings after returning to Washington for his senior year.  Locker had a bit of a senior slump and slipped to eighth overall where the Tennessee Titans opted to select Locker. The Titans quarterback coach spoke with Locker extensively after Washington’s pro day.  At that moment I got a...

Hasselbeck OUT

Matt Hasselbeck has had to leave today's game against the Saints with a lower leg injury. Fantasy Spin: He was not hit on the play, but it looked like he may have suffered either an ankle or an Achilles injury. Either way, its hard to imagine him returning because he was unable to put any pressure on that leg. Jake Locker will take over for Hasselbeck, who had passed for 35 yards...

Titans' Hasselbeck sore; game status uncertain

Tennessee coach Mike Munchak says Matt Hasselbeck is sore but walking around despite a left calf injury. Whether the veteran quarterback is strong enough to start against winless Indianapolis remains to be seen.

Reality meets fantasy in NFL

The Tennessee quarterback set up Chris Johnson for a touchdown, something Hasselbeck said was all part of a master plan. As Johnson entered the media room following Tennessee's 30-3 win, Hasselbeck walked out and yelled,...

NFL Power Rankings Week 15

1.  Green Bay Packers (13-0): The crushing win over the Raiders is overshadowed by Greg Jennings’ injury. The upside is he should be back in time for the playoffs. 2.  New Orleans Saints (10-3): Saints held off Jake Locker and the Titans to officially claim a playoff berth. If the 49ers lose to the Steelers on Monday Night Football and the Saints win out, guess who has a first...
