Drew Brees, Jimmy Graham and the New Orleans Saints travel to Foxborough on Sunday to take on Tom Brady, a finally healthy Rob Gronkowski and the New England Patriots.  Sean Payton's Saints go into this matchup as a one point underdog against Bill Belichick's Patriots.  These  coaches are two of the best in the game and with their excellent play calling abilities, this contest should be pretty well-balanced.  The Saints are coming off of a huge win in Chicago last week and the Patriots were given a tough loss at Cincinatti where Tom Brady failed to get the ball into the endzone.  The record of 54 consecutive games with a touchdown pass held be Drew Brees (which probably would have been broken by Brady this weekend) is safe for now.  The Pats' receiving core has been fairly weak this season with the absence of Rob Gronkowski and current Broncos wideout Wes Welker.  However, this Sunday should be a completely different story with the return of Gronk.  The Saints will need ...

Saints' Brees won't allow sons to play football

Drew Brees is one of the best players in the NFL currently, but that doesn't mean he thinks his line of work is for everyone, including his three sons, at least while they are young according to the Saints' quarterback. "At a certain age, I think it's appropriate. I think you can be too young to go out there and strap on a helmet," Brees told USA TODAY on Wednesday...

Proud Patriots defense bracing for Brees

New England's defense is in for its toughest test of the season Sunday, when quarterback Drew Brees leads the high-powered New Orleans Saints (5-0) into a highly anticipated clash with the Patriots (4-1). Brees has thrown for 1,722 yards, second only to Denver's Peyton Manning. ''He'll never stare down a receiver and throw it straight to him,'' New England...

Drew Brees Follows Steps of Tom Brady, Manning Brothers, Says He’ll Hold Kids Out of Football Until They’re Older

Concussion experts have advocated for years that kids shouldn’t play tackle football until high school, when their bodies are more developed and they can better absorb the hits the game hands out. That advice has gotten a lot of pushback from folks who think kids have to learn how to hit when they’re young to play well, though. They made their voices heard again this week after...

On Sunday afternoon the New Orleans Saints are set to trek northeast to Foxborough to battle the New England Patriots in a matchup featurning two of the NFL’s elite franchises headlined by their two respective elite quarterbacks. Is Brady to blame for the offense's struggles?

The 4-1 record that the Patriots own does not really reflect the amount of headaches that this team's offense has caused for fans. Though the defense has made some serious improvement, it has been the offense that is lacking. After leading the NFL is various offensive statistics last year, the offense has been nothing more than mediocre. With Tom Brady at the helm, one would...

Patriots Stumble Behind Subpar Brady

Tom Brady had a bad game, and the Patriots dropped their first game of the season

Opening Lines: Week 6

The Patriots opened as 1-point favorites as they host the New Orleans Saints in Week 6. After doing their best Jets impression last week, New England desperately needs a confidence-builder. I’m trying to think if there would be a worse time for the Pats to face a QB like Drew Brees and a rejuvenated Saints defense, but I’m coming up empty. I usually leave the statistics up...

The Run Game Will Be Crucial to Beating the Saints

The undefeated New Orleans Saints storm into Gillette tomorrow to take on a Patriots team coming off one of its' ugliest games in recent memory. How can the Patriots turn it around and hand the Saints their first loss of the year? Run the ball. A lot. The Patriots rushing attack, which they bizarrely abandoned last week, has been the most consistent facet of...

After suffering their first defeat of the season at the hands of the Bengals Sunday, the Pats will try to stop the bleeding against the surging 5-0 Saints.
