Facing the high-powered passing game of the New Orleans Saints will be no small task this weekend for the Buffalo Bills' defense. There will be no complaints, however, if its most powerful weapon isn't healthy enough to play. After an injury in Week 6 against the New England Patriots and a bye week to recover, Saints tight end Jimmy Graham is apparently still feeling the effects of the his foot ailment. Graham, the team's leading receiver, did not participate in practice Wednesday. "Each day we'll just take a peak on how he's progressing and be smart about it," Saints coach Sean Payton said Wednesday, via The Buffalo News. An absent Graham would be a big loss to Drew Brees and the New Orleans passing game, and it would give a healing Bills secondary one less thing to worry about, particularly in the red zone. The Saints second-ranked air attack has tallied nearly 1,500 yards so far this season, with Graham accounting for 40 percent of those yards (593) a...

Jimmy Graham a game-time Decision

ESPN’s Mike Triplett reports on his twitter page that Jimmy Graham returned to limited practice on Friday and will be considered a game-time decision for head coach Sean Payton. Not exactly the news Graham owners wanted to hear, considering the fact that Graham and the Saints are coming off a bye week. It is possible that the foot injury Graham sustained against the Pats two weeks...

Jimmy Graham Questionable For Week 8

Saints tight end Jimmy Graham is questionable heading into Sunday's game versus Buffalo. SOURCE: Adam Schefter, ESPNFantasy Spin:Graham injured his foot late in a Week 6 loss to the Patriots. He was held without a catch in that game. Ben Watson would take over at tight end if Graham can't suit up. Obviously it would be a huge loss for fantasy owners as Graham has been far...

Football: Week 8 Injury Report

Jimmy Graham- Diagnosed with a foot injury, status is unclear for week 8. I was told that Graham missed practice on Thursday and that his status is completely hanging on Friday’s practice. If he misses Friday’s you can count on Graham missing week eight’s contest. Graham left the Patriots game early, had an entire week to rest the foot, this could be a lot more serious than...

Drew Brees' durability all the more impressive as NFL teams struggle at quarterback

We're at the official halfway point of the NFL season and already 11 teams have had to change quarterbacks because of injuries or ineffectiveness. Rarely does a quarterback change produce success, especially in the NFL, where stability at the position might be the most important factor in a club's long-term success. No other position in sports is more directly meaningful...

Graham misses practice, Moore back

With receiver Lance Moore, right tackle Zach Strief and Jonathan Vilma in pads and working through at least parts of practice, the New Orleans Saints are optimistic they'll have more veteran leadership on the field for an expected playoff push. Less certain is how long it will take New Orleans' most productive pass-catcher, tight end Jimmy Graham, to return from a left foot...

2013 Fantasy Football: Week 8 Eliminator/Survivor Pool Picks

SAFE PLAY: Saints- With the toll of a long season starting to mount (especially last week), the “safe’’ plays are quickly disappearing. As far as the Saints go, they are as healthy as a team can be entering Week 8, coming off a bye and are at home (3-0 at home in 2013). The Bills strength has been their pass rush. They are tied for 4th in the league with 23 sacks. However,...

Saints Nation Guru: Make Your Prediction For the Bills Game

We had a THREE WAY TIE for the winner last week. Terrible. So Gary J, Eliza18s and swebbman all get +0.33 points. I'll make sure the tiebreaker leaves no room for ties this week. Eliza18s builds a bit on her lead in the overall standings, and Gary J separates himself from the pack ever so slightly. Make your predictions for the Bills game and try to win a $50 gift card to...

Bills-Saints Preview

The New Orleans Saints have had plenty of time to move on from their first loss of the season, which came in heartbreaking fashion. Coming off their bye week, the Saints' focus shifts to trying to prevent the Buffalo Bills from moving back to .500 on Sunday at the Superdome.
