As the New York Giants prepare for the game against the New York Jets, the talk about Tim Tebow is heating up. Now the questions have started to upset the Giants. In a recent interview with ESPN Antrel Rolle was asked about Tebow, he replied “Just go out there and play the game. It’s not going to be about Tebow. It’s about us.”

Can you blame him? The coverage on Tebow is sickening, no matter if he is the most popular player in the NFL, this is crazy. He is after all a backup quarterback and the Giants, a Super Bowl champion. The media needs to get their priorities straight, cover the Giants first the Jets second and maybe Tebow next. The Giants are excited to play the Jets, but they want you to keep in mind that it’s not about Tebow it’s about the Super Bowl champs.

Eli Manning (AP)

Eli Manning has led the Giants much like his brother has led his teams in the past. Manning has been vocal about players being in the right spots and has really worked with the timing with the receivers. Manning remembers what it was like after they won their last Super Bowl, and he doesn’t plan to repeat that result.

Even though the media is shoving Tebow down our throats, the Giants had 5,430 fans at practice, up from past years. The Super Bowl champions have drawn more fans to practices in Albany this season.

So the media may be in love with the guy, but the fans are still showing up in numbers to support the Super Bowl champions.

F This Tim Tebow GQ Pose

Even in the dog days of August, we can always count on Tim Tebow to provide a heaping helping of sizzle. The latest issue of GQ, which hits newsstands on August 21, offers an interesting take from a writer who is a Jets fan but not a Tebow fan, and how he is trying to resolve [...]

2012 New York Jets Training Camp: The Tebow Circus Is In Cortland!

Ever since 2009, the New York Jets have headed to Cortland, NY for training camp.  There’s not much else going on in Cortland besides the chance to embrace the Tim Tebow phenomenon. The town is sleepy 50 weeks per year and then Tebow shows up. This is a small town NFL training camp with the biggest star in the NFL. Surprisingly, it all works pretty well. JUMP! Getting off of...

N.Y. Jets’ Tim Tebow works on wildcat, letting cat out of the bag

BY CHRISTINE VALDEZ NEWJERSEYNEWSROOM.COM The secret is out at the New York Jets training camp with Tim Tebow being put to the test with the wildcat formation. The Jets brought out the wildcat formation at training camp on Monday for the first time heading into the 2012 season with Tebow along in the practices. According to Yahoo! Sports, the Jets wildcat plays are meant to be a...

Shhh! Jets’ Wildcat offense shrouded in secrecy

As soon as the Jets acquired Tim Tebow, integrating him in coordinator Tony Sparano’s offense, everyone had the same thought — Wildcat. As in, the offensive package Sparano repopularized during his time with the Dolphins. The same (and only) formation in which Tebow truly thrives, as we all witnessed last year during the Broncos’ improbable playoff run. With Tim in tow, the...

Happy 25th Birthday, Timothy Richard Tebow!

If you weren’t aware that today is New York Jets backup quarterback Tim Tebow’s birthday, then you probably haven’t turned on a TV or logged into Facebook or Twitter yet. (Side note: If that’s not your morning routine, you’re already my role model.) But yes indeed, friends, today is the day of birth for the Chosen Gun – trying out some new nicknames in case he ever becomes...

Pennington: Jets can win with Tebow

Chad Pennington thinks the New York Jets, Tim Tebow and the wildcat are a perfect fit.

Now healthy, Caldwell ready to prove himself

DENVER It might not conjure up memories of Tim Tebow, whose No. 15 jersey was worn by legions of fans in Denver. Still, Andre Caldwell was swarmed for autographs after a recent Broncos scrimmage. One man asked Andre Caldwell to hold his baby before pulling out his cell phone for a quick shot of the two. That was something new for me, the wide receiver said of the request. The...

New York Jets: Mark Sanchez Injury Would Be Catastrophic

Of all the rhetoric, hoopla and nauseating coverage over the arrival of quarterback Tim Tebow, the one thing that I rarely hear discussed is what happens if starting Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez gets hurt? The Jets' offense looked putrid in their preseason loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, 17-6.  Yes, we know a legitimate workhorse running back has yet to show his face. Yes...

September issues reign supreme in the magazine world, as they rank among the top-selling issues of the year. Top celebrities, musicians and models often snag the coveted front spot but men’s fashion magazines often choose to give that honor to athletes. Last year GQ tapped New York Jets QB, Mark Sanchez, as its September cover boy. This time around it’s his teammate and fellow...

The New York Jets to sign Barnum and Bailey

Here we go once again.  It’s preseason, 31 teams are preparing for the upcoming season, and then there is the New York Jets preparing to take their three-ring circus show on the road.  The only thing missing so far this off-season is another one of those ridiculous Rex Ryan guarantees and the New York Jets signing Barnum and Bailey. This whole fiasco started with the signing...

Tuck unconcerned about Jets' Wildcat

Giants defensive end Justin Tuck doesn't seem concerned about the prospect of Tim Tebow and the Jets running plays out of the Wildcat in the teams' preseason matchup.
