Eli Manning threw for the eighth most yards in NFL history against the Bucs, but 510 yards passing is simply unheard of these days.
That in itself sounds odd since this ha become a passing league where signal-callers throw for 350-plus yards passing every single week.
After the year’s we saw from Manning, Cam Newton, Matthew Stafford, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees, it should not be a shock that so many teams are slinging it around 40 times every weekend.
This is a barbaric sport in which running backs only last on average three seasons before retirement and both starting running backs may not even play on Thursday.
Ahmad Bradshaw (neck) of the Giants and Carolina’s Jonathan Stewart (ankle), will not be practicing this week and are both unlikely (game-time decisions at best) to play in this must-win September game.
So, in steps Andre Brown for the Giants whereas DeAngelo Williams will fill in admirably like he has in the past. Cam Newton was the sup...

Eli Manning: “I guess certain teams you might say ‘hey watch out for a cheap shot’
New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin was furious at Tampa Bay’s Greg Schiano on a cheap shot at trying to get the ball back during a kneel down in last Sunday’s match up. Tampa went low on the Giants offensive linemen in an attempt to put a hit on quarterback Eli Manning. In NFL circles, there is a code for conduct. You don’t smack the back of a losing coach in celebration...
Eli Manning’s rally against the Bucs his best ever?
Eli Manning has accomplished a lot the last few seasons.
In winning two Super Bowls — two super bowl MVP’s — and becoming one of the best late-game quarterbacks ever, there’s few things that the 31-year-old quarterback has yet to do.
Over the last two seasons, Manning has led 11 game-winning drives for the New York Giants, the only team he has ever played for since he was...
Eli Manning Claims He Told Buccaneers He Was Taking a Knee Prior to Controversial Play
Pretty much everyone watching at home knew Eli Manning was planning to take a knee on the final play of Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. According to Manning, he informed the Bucs personally that a game-ending knee was in the cards. “Tebowing” Isn’t the Only Quarterback Phenomenon
Total Eli Manning shinefest right here! I wouldn’t have went with Eli’s “Durh” face. Of the five QB phenomenons we know about I’d have to say “Griffin’ing” may be my new favorite. Guy is a stud.

Buccaneer’s Greg Schiano off to an uneasy start
Despite upsetting my Carolina Panthers in week one and nearly taking down Eli Manning’s Giants in week 2, Tampa Bay Buccaneer’s head Coach Greg Schiano has drawn the ire of many fans and sports reporters a like. After blowing a 14 point halftime lead, Buc’s QB Josh Freeman threw an interception late in the fourth quarter that sealed the Giants come back. Eli Manning came to...
Buccaneers Coach Greg Schiano Says Nothing Dirty About Teams Tactics
There has been a lot of discussion about the Bucs going after Giants quarterback Eli Manning when he took a knee in the waning moments of the Giants win.
Bucs coach Greg Schiano was unapologetic about it according to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times.
"I don't know if that's not something that's done in the National Football League," Schiano said. "...
Jerry Jones wants kneel-down play eliminated
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones spoke out against the kneel-down play to end games during a radio interview on Tuesday. Eli Leads Giants Comeback over Bucs
The second game for the season started off poorly for the Giants, much like the opening night game against the Cowboys; this time around, the Giants were able to get it together and mount a successful comeback against the Buccaneers, pulling out the 41-34 win. The Giants were down 27-13 early in the...

Fantasy Football: Week 2 studs and duds
There were many outstanding performances in Week 2, some were even record-breaking. Some with names that you probably don’t even have on your roster. And then there were those that disappointed the owners who drafted them so soon (and in most cases so high) on draft day. Here is a list of both studs and duds that stood out last week:
