Reports are out that Giants offensive lineman David Diehl, a 2010 Pro Bowler, was arrested Sunday night on suspicion of DWI after allegedly hitting two parked cars in Queens, N.Y., according to WNBC-TV.

Diehl was taken into custody at the borough’s 114th precinct. The report said he failed a breathalyzer test and that he had been watching a soccer game at a bar in the area. Diehl, who is of Croatian descent, was probably there to watch Croatia beat Ireland in the Euro 2012 Championship, and had one too many celebration beverages.

He reportedly blew a .18 on the breathalyzer, twice the legal limit in New York.

Diehl was driving his black BMW when he allededly hit two cars on 35th Avenue near 31st Street in Astoria at around 8:20 p.m, the NY Post reported.

In a statement to the media, Diehl’s agent Peter Schaffer wrote: “I am honored to represent David Diehl, one of, if not the classiest, most humble New York Giants ever.”, but did not address the DWI report.

He's expected to be arraigned at Queens Criminal Court Monday morning on the charges, a police source said.
