The New York Giants made their league mandated cuts yesterday to the roster. They had to downsize from 80 players to 53. The rest of the league had done this a few days ago, but the NFL gave both the Giants and the Jets permission to hold extra players for a few extra days to preserve starters since they both had to play two games in four days due to Hurricane Irene.
With the rosters cut down to the season size, we begin to get a better look at the direction the Giants are heading. Or do we? Let's take a closer look. Because the Boom staff is working on a position by position preview, I will not examine every position on the roster, just the biggest question marks.
The QB spot is locked up for the starter. Everyone knows Eli Manning is the man. His backups are not so clear though. They have placed Sage Rosenfels on IR and only have David Carr for the final cut. Therefore, as it stands now, they only have two QB's. Is this such a major issue? Probably n...
