New Yorks Giants offensive lineman David Diehl pleaded guilty to drunk driving charges in Queens Criminal Court on Monday. He was sentenced to six months probation and fined $1,500.The charges stem from an incident last June in which Diehl was arrested in Queens after slamming his black BMW into two parked cars. The two-time Super Bowl champion reportedly had a blood-alcohol level of .18 at the time of his arrest. The legal limit is .08.The NFL veteran was reportedly watching a soccer game at a nearby bar before hopping into his luxury car.Diehl was released on his own recognizance after spending a night in jail. A judge ordered his driving privileges in New York to be suspended although Diehl's driver's license is from New Jersey. He released the following statement after the arrest was made:“I apologize to my family, my fans, the New York Giants, and the NFL. I made a poor decision that I sincerely regret, and take full responsibility for my actions.”Diehl pleaded guilty to two impaired driving charges Monday: aggravated DWI and impaired driving.Diehl, 32, has played his entire career with the Giants after being drafted by the franchise in 2003 out of the University of Illinois. He was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2009 and has started 149 games during his NFL career.Via New York Daily News
