The Giants did not draft a tight end in the 2011 NFL Draft like many thought they would, and despite Kevin Boss’ willingness to resign, he may end up chasing more money elsewhere.
If that happens, or if the Giants like the idea of signing someone better, then they would almost certainly go after the former Raiders tight end Zach Miller.
Miller has been the Raiders most consistent receiving threat over the past few years, whether that means anything is up the in air considering the Raiders passing game has often been a joke.
That said, there is no questioning Miller’s ability at the position, both blocking and as a threat in the passing game. His best season was 2009, when he had 66 catches for 805 yards and three touchdowns, but he’s been consistently productive over the past four seasons and only missed two starts out of 64 potential games.
