The New York Giants took to the field for the first time since hoisting the Lombardi trophy last February. It was their first game of the preseason. It was the first chance to see the rookies that GM Jerry Reese drafted in April and the new additions that he signed in the following months. The end result on the scoreboard between the Jacksonville Jaguars and our beloved Giants was not indicative of the real story.
Eli Manning had only eight passing attempts in limited snaps. He completed four for 60 yards. The running game was still non-existent among the starters. Ahmad Bradshaw had only 12 yards on four carries. Rookie David Wilson stole the show with great bursts of speed early on on his way to 43 yards on seven carries.
