The New York Giants give their fans an early scare against the Cleveland Browns. They were down 17-7 in the first quarter, I'm sure it had some fans wondering if the team was going to make this a close one.

No disrespect to the Browns but I personally wasn't nervous, just upset that New York found themselves down against what many consider to be the worst team in the NFL. As I keep stating every week, the Giants play down to their competition. It's just the Giants way it seems, this pattern has been displayed for 3-4 years now.

The good news is that Eli Manning, Victor Cruz and Ahmad Bradshaw took over. I have included the offensive stats below, Ahmad Bradshaw rushed for an unbelievable 200 yards. Cruz caught all 3 Eli Manning TD passes.

Other players stepped up, Randle caught 6 passes for 82 yards, Domenik Hixon had 5 receptions for 55 yards. There were offensive contributions from many players which helped in the comeback. The half time score was 27-17.

Victor Cruz ditching his salsa dance?

Victor Cruz Collects Three TDs vs. Cleveland

Giants receiver Victor Cruz caught five passes for 50 yards Sunday against the Browns. Fortunately for fantasy owners, three of those catches were for touchdowns.Fantasy Spin:Eli Manning found Cruz for touchdowns of 3, 7 and 28 yards. He was the top red zone target with Hakeem Nicks out and Martellus Bennett dealing with a leg injury.

Champion Giants just not the same on defense

Eli Manning has shown the New York Giants can score with anybody. It's the defending Super Bowl champions' defense that is playing catch-up heading into Sunday's NFL championship rematch against the San Francisco 49ers (4-1). Perry Fewell's unit has been very inconsistent. Take Sunday's 41-27 win over the Cleveland Browns. The defense allowed touchdowns on...

Ahmad Bradshaw says Hakeem Nicks told him he’s playing this week

During an appearance on ESPN Radio in New York today, Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw said that wide receiver Hakeem Nicks hinted to him that he’s going to play in this week’s game against the 49ers, per Paul Schwartz of the New York Post.Bradshaw said that Nicks “gave me a hint” that he’ll play this week against the 49ers.  He also said that Nicks “is tough and I...

Victor Cruz lends support to Obama in YouTube ad

On gamedays, Victor Cruz proudly wears his Giants blue. But the salsa-dancing receiver will also be going blue in approximately 30 days. In a new Web ad released by Barack Obama’s reelection campaign, Cruz lends his support to the President, urging the public to “get out there and vote” (presumably Democrat). “Being half Latino, it’s been a long time since we’ve actually...

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly: Cleveland @ New York Giants

The Good, the Bad and The UglyBrowns 27 @ Giants 4110/7/2012By Eric Judd@ericjuddTSHQ The GoodWait a sec! I’m pretty good at this!Ahmad Bradshaw. Way to go Mr. Bradshaw. You were able to overcome a first play fumble, which can quickly banish you to Coughlin’s doghouse (see Wilson, David) and rumble on the extra porous Cleveland defense for two bills. Bradshaw only helped to cement...

Carlos Rogers says he’s ready to salsa this weekend

San Francisco 49ers cornerback Carlos Rogers is ready to make a big play on Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz this Sunday and do his famed salsa dance.“I like the dance, actually,” Rogers said, per the Sacramento Bee. “I really can’t do it as good as him but. But if I make a play or get an interception on him in my mind, just do his dance.”Cruz wrote about Rogers disrespecting...

NFC Best? The NFC West Makes a Strong Super Bowl Case

“Offense wins games; defense wins championships.”Whether or not that’s how the phrase originally went is moot. Unless you’re the 1999 St. Louis Rams, simply outscoring the opponent with nothing but copious offensive firepower just doesn’t cut it. Many a quarterback with a 40 TD/8 INT season has been sniped in the playoff thicket by sharpshooter corners and artillery linemen...

Browns blow early lead, tumble to Giants

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) -- Victor Cruz danced behind the Cleveland Browns in the end zone, while Ahmad Bradshaw showed his best footwork all over the field. Cruz made a career-best three touchdown catches and Bradshaw surpassed his yardage on the ground for the season with a career-high 200 as the New York Giants kept Cleveland winless, 41-27 Sunday. Eli Manning hit Cruz for...
