Former Oakland Raiders tight end Brandon Myers has agreed to sign with the New York Giants, per Mike Garafolo of USA Today.
Myers, 27, played in 42 games (12 starts) and collected 32 catches for 250 yards during his first three seasons. However, the former 2009 sixth-round selection (No. 202 overall) out of Iowa had a breakout season last year, hauling in 79 passes for 806 yards with four scores in 16 games (all starts).
The 6-3, 256-pound tight end was reportedly viewed as the Giants’ first choice to replace Martellus Bennett, who became the first free agent to join a new team when he signed with the Chicago Bears at the start of 2013 NFL Free Agency Tuesday.
