For those Jets fans that thought the worst was over, think again. While it would be hard to think about a worse outcome than last year for Jets fans, success in the 2013 season is going to be anything but easy. The addition of Chris Ivory and Geno Smith looks promising, but they overcome the losses of Darrelle Revis and Dustin Keller.Geno Smith will be the starting quarterback by Week 11. Call it a QB controversy it you want, but there’s no way Rex Ryan runs Geno Smith out on the field to be the starting QB on Week 1. Mark Sanchez was statistically one of the worst QBs in league last year, but Rex Ryan will opt for stability to start off the season. While I think Smith eventually starts under center, he is not the next Robert Griffin III. The strength of schedule from an opposing defensive perspective is tough through the first 10 games including New England twice, Atlanta, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati. Jets' bye week is Week 10, which would appear to be the time to make a QB change...

Rex Ryan refuses to dwell on the past: ‘I don’t even give a s— about last year’

Last season for the New York Jets was an unmitigated disaster. Zach: Thoughts on Offensive Outlook, Projections

The Jets hope offseason additions like TE Kellen Winslow, Jr. (pictured) can bolster a lack-luster offense.  [The Star Ledger] The Jets’ offense has been at the bottom of the league for the past few years.
