Are the New York Jets really setting up QB Mark Sanchez to fail? After learning that veteran WR Santonio Holmes has suffered a Lisfranc injury and will likely be out for the season, the Jets needed to add another receiver to the roster. The usual stable of veteran names cropped up; Plaxico Burress, Terrell Owens and Chad Johnson. New York has reportedly signed, wait for it…….Jason Hill. That has been confirmed by Adam Schefter on Twitter this morning.
Hill has played five seasons in the NFL spending time with San Francisco 49ers, Jacksonville and was signed by the Denver Broncos this offseason before being released. He has only played a complete 16-game season. His best season came in 2008 with 30 receptions 317 yards and two scores.
So, with this signing, the Jets now have added another third tier wide receiver to their roster. It remains a mystery to me why the Jets wouldn’t re-sign veteran Plaxico Burress. He was effective last season for New York. This signing of Hill is very cur...

It should come as no surprise to anyone that the budding relationship between New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez and Eva Longoria generated a lot of headlines since the rumors began floating some time ago up through Longoria’s admission that the two were involved. A high-profile quarterback playing in New York dating a high-profile actress [...]
Let the quarterback controversy winds start blowing. Jets' owner Woody Johnson may start pushing the team to play Tim Tebow over Mark Sanchez. This not-so stunning bit of news comes from Rich Cimini of ESPN New York, who reported that, "Two people who know Johnson, and know how he runs his football operation, believe he will push his football people to start Tebow."...
New York Jets’ coach Rex Ryan reiterated during a Monday press conference that Mark Sanchez is their quarterback. “He’s definitely our guy,” Ryan insisted. “I know this is killing him. He’s going to want to respond.”
Many fans have been talking about Tim Tebow, thinking his time is coming since [...]
Jets receiver Santonio Holmes has already been ruled out for next week's game against the Texans. Holmes left Sunday's game versus the 49ers after injuring his left foot.Fantasy Spin:He probably wouldn't have had a good week anyway against Houston's elite defensive unit. X-rays on the injured foot came back negative but the team is still waiting for the results of...
New York Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes has done anything but lived up to the five-year $45 million contract that he signed before last season.
Holmes has been nothing but a headache off the field while under achieving on it.
Now it looks like Holmes will miss the remainder of the season with a lisfranc injury.
We don’t know if the Jets are interested in moving on from Holmes...
New York Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes injured his footduring the fourth quarter of Sunday’s ugly loss to the San Francisco 49ers. He
was diagnosed with a Lisfranc injury yesterday and will “almost certainly” miss
the remainder of the season, reports Albert Breer of NFL.com:

The news is as expected. New York Jets wide receiver, Santonio Holmes, will miss the rest of the 2012 season with a Lisfranc injury.

The Jets signed free agent Jason Hill today to compensate for the loss of Holmes.
Just when you thought that things couldn’t get any worse, the New York Jets (2-2) placed one of their best offensive players in wide receiver Santonio Holmes on injured reserve on Wednesday, ending his season due to a Lisfranc injury in his left foot.
The news comes just about a week after the team lost its best defensive player in star cornerback Darrelle Revis for the season...
The New York Jets signed 27 year-old Jason Hill today in an effort to fix a receiving corp which is dealing with the loss of Santonio Holmes for the season.
Holmes’ foot injury will likely end his season.
The newest addition to the Jets has speed but has never been much of a playmaker. Hill was cut by the Denver Broncos prior to the start of the season and has never had more then...
According to Brian Costello of the New York Post, it sounds like Jets head coach Rex Ryan doesn’t expect wide receiver Santonio Holmes to be a back for a few weeks after injuring his foot on Sunday.
So until Holmes comes back, it looks like Jeremy Kerley and Chaz Schilens will be the Jets’ starting receivers. Good luck Rex.
An all around awful performance by the Jets in a home shut out loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. There's no way around it. The Jets were outplayed, out-executed, out-hustled and out-coached by Jim Harbaugh's group. Too add injury to insult, the Jets lost their best offensive weapon, Santonio Holmes, to a non-contract knee injury -- a play eerily resembling Darrelle...
