Improved coaching The Jets will use the Wildcat more than ever before. The Jets’ biggest problem on defense last year, despite still finishing fifth overall, was the pass rush and the safety position. To fix this, they have added two starting safeties to help cover the TEs and not give up the big plays. They have starting experience behind them, ready to start if an injury occurs. On the pass rush, Aaron Maybin didn’t start the whole year in 2011 and still recorded six sacks. The Jets have Calvin Pace and Bryan Thomas to rush the passer from the OLB position as well.
