It has been just a week since the New York Jets selected West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith in the second round of the NFL Draft, but Smith has already fired his agent, and now ESPN New York reports teams passed on Smith in the first round because of Smith’s ‘diva attitude’.During his pre-draft meetings with teams, Smith constantly used his cell phone to send texts and check twitter according to Yahoo Sports.NFL scouts and executives continued to bash the young quarterback’s character.“He’s going to have a tough time in New York,” an NFC scout said to ESPN New York. “Right now, he’s coming off as a spoiled, pampered brat.”From an AFC executive, “One of his perceived weaknesses is working through adversity.”Smith will certainly go through adversity in New York.
