On Tuesday the New York Jets made several roster moves that may impact this Sunday's game versus the Pittsburgh Steelers, including waiving wide receiver Patrick Turner. Last week they brought cornerback LeQuan Lewis back as part of the practice squad, but he was released to make room for linebacker Ricky Sapp, who was released when Lewis was added. The waiving of Patrick Turner will leave the New York Jets with one open roster spot for now. He had been a familiar target for Mark Sanchez because of their time together at USC. He was also a special teams contributor for Mike Westhoff. Chaz Schilens appears to be healthy enough now to be a bigger contributor and that may have been why the Jets were comfortable without Turner. With a spot available on the roster, and the move to bring back linebacker Ricky Sapp, it is expected Sapp could be added if his ankle has now fully healed enough to play at full speed. Otherwise it may very well be that Jets are looking to bring in playe...

The Best of the first Sunday in the NFL

The first week of the NFL always brings about surprises.  The pre season is to find out who’s going to make your team and not necessarily how you use your playbook.  That was apparent when the Jets demolished the Bills at Met Life Stadium yesterday.  New York really didn’t surprise Buffalo with the “Tebown Offense” but did catch them off guard when Joe Namath showed up...
