  On Monday afternoon, the St. Louis Rams twisted and turned their way into landing the biggest name player on the (per usual) slim NFL midseason trade market. GM Billy Devaney sent a conditional sixth or fifth round draft pick to the Denver Broncos and returned with wide receiver Brandon Lloyd. This was a much needed move for the struggling Rams, who even in their best case scenario (which is the exact opposite of what 2011 has been thus far) needed to get tremendously better in the passing game. Best of all, it doesn’t dig into the valuable high round picks that the team will need in April’s draft to round off a number of problem areas. Lloyd is exactly what the Rams have needed all along, and is just what the stagnant offense needs to wake things up. As for Lloyd himself, he brings a combination of several major needs.
